They literally started out racing in tje 80s but didn't do very well then fell off the scene and started making over priced rtr vehicles that are more like toy vehicles then the race cars are. Same chassis different body different name all have tje same electronics older vehicles had no adjustable turn buckles like a toy grade no ball dill or sealed gear diff to tune up until the drag slash. Multiple colored bodies like toy grade. yeah man Traxxas is closer to a toy then it is a hobby grade race car. You could of got a associated mt10 and a castle mamba x esc for the same price as that hoss and ran 6s with a tunable sensored esc and motor over that dumbed down run of the mill vxl combo and the build quality is so much better. You just spent 600 for the name lol
@@jeffbryner5355 I mean as I see it they are probably doing something right every hobby shop has mostly traxxas cars and mostly traxxas parts in stock but like I said I agree I buy $600 cars for $200 used and have the same amount of fun with them and don’t feel bad about destroying them
