Before the Divorce laws changed in Ireland in 1996, the young people that we met at Trinity College had a lot to say about the laws, the church, contraception and education.
Fascinating! I started studying in Trinity in 1985 so remember that era so well. The Ireland of the 1980s would be unrecognisable to a Trinity student of today!
These people in 1986 got most of what they wished for today in Ireland divorce abortion contraception so today changing Ireland to what it has become a rich persons country we went from a caring safe society To one where money is the goal of most people with a terriible health service disastrous housing shortage unless your rich renting accommodation is so expensive people are living in tents or homeless drugs and crime are everywhere we dont have enough police or bus drivers we have a big shortage of doctors n nurses were ruled by european union and the usual politicians who know whats best for us if you compare ireland of 1986 with ireland of 2023 hou would have to agree its worse we may have more money and new cars holidays in the sun yet its lost its heart n soul everyone is keeping up with the jones i remember dublin city in the rare oul times😊
Well, take a look at Ireland now, what they were talking about there TRULY was "glimpse of Ireland's future". It's a very different county to what it was then and not for the better.

It would be interesting to gather that same group together again for another round of questions to see what their opinions are today.
