I enjoyed your reaction as you really listened, analyzed, went back and listened again, analyzed and enjoyed. Very intellectual reaction and nice to see you could were appreciating it. I don't speak Japanese so thank you for the subtitles.
@@user-zy7cg4xe2m If you like fast drums and fast guitars I highly recommend The Ventures - Wipeout live in Japan 1966 All the best from the far north of New Zealand!
Live it was normally a 7 minute song. They were told that they only had a 4.5 minute slot, so they would have to cut part of the song. They din't want to do that so they decided to speed up and compress the whole 7 minute song into 4.5 minutes. It's a testament to their playing skills that they were able to play an already up-tempo song 35% faster.
I'm glad it gets the same reactions from music loving youngster from Japan as it does from over in the west. And yes its totally Bunkers but brilliant.
Bwhahaha. Your reaction is great! I am from the Netherlands and I did not understand your words. But your face said more than I needed to enjoy your reaction... Hahahaha. You seemed so confused. Hahahaha.
Awesome reaction. The song was played at a fair pace due to TV time limitations. Jan Akkerman is probably the most underestimated guitarists of the era. You won't go wrong listening to any of his music. Tranquilizer and Slow Man are good examples. I appreciate you won't probably understand what I'm writing but keep reacting and analysing as you are, It's cool to watch.
Nice to see your appreciation! Not just a childish novelty tune but an impressive display, eh? I still feel appreciation to the friend who recommended this song to me almost half a century ago! 🙂
I liked the video, Thnx for the Subs Some trivia: this song was used in 3 movies.., Robocop (2014), Baby Driver (2017) and Project X (2012) Greetz from the Netherlands 😉

The first part is yodeln. The second part is called eefing. A mid-west American style somewhat akin to beatboxing. The increasing pitch at the end of these parts is going into a vocal technique called falsetto. That final whistle is a very high-pitch, breath-intensive type of whistling
:) How entrancing... The first reaction I've seen yet where the reactor has actually *read a book* about the subject. Belle Canto is an Italian method of singing Opera.
I look for my brothers single hokus spokus fokus ❤😊 to work it out and give every day my love for him see you later and have a good live greetz trouwerijen filmfestival tijger Rotterdam 👋
Probably worth noting that most in the audience and watching on TV at the time already were familiar with the song, from the original version. So they already knew, generally, what to expect. I categorize this as a novelty song. From an excellent Dutch prog-rock band. Meant to be humorous but there's a lot of virtuosity in there.
We are chinees mix with nederlandsche bloed my brother has make this song to and i can not find it back a have to find out were it is so i can learn more and than i can make his last song he is dead 2018 i had a special connection with him nobody now how i en my brother have work it out and the have not give a goodburial or cremation and the say that the have all his this trow away and burning him and his stuff on the dump ( i don ‘t take that) we have are one family right so later i find it available to make a song 🎵 😊❤with his karakters for a goodbye song❤😊🙏
Hopefully, this young man can read English. it is called yodeling... and old thing from many, many, many, many years ago... In Japanese:

I watched this live in 1973. The song was a huge hit at the time.
He doesn't look that old. More like 2000 or so .
@@derekkelly4816 no, song was released in 1971
WOW what A privilege !!

Not a lot speaking, I think.
Hell yeah. Cheers from the Netherlands. One of our best.
A really good reaction video. You were involved and even did research while watching it. Great work, thank you.
3:36 the looks on all these reacter's faces cracks me up every time :)
Ce live de 1973 est une légende !
Focus est une légende ! Des musiciens exceptionnels.
Bonjour de France.
Hello from Canada! Enjoyed your reaction to a hell of a fast song! 6 min song crammed into 4 mins!!!😂🍺
Great reaction. This song is weird as hell. But he’s super talented. I’m very glad to see you enjoy it. 😁

I agree, he has this style of playing solo without any feelings and syncopation, just a kind of nonchallant tonefactory, It is awesome.
@@ulrikbro-jrgensen1542 That's a good way of describing his style actually. And you're quite right, it's awesome🖖
"Jan Akkerman is probably the most underestimated guitarists of the era..."
He was voted best guitarist in the world in UK music polls at the time.
Jan was truly a pioneer of his era and an inspiration of a whole new generation of guitar players.
i like to watch reactions of this song. its called yodeling btw, a "singing" technique that is very old in bavarian swiss and austrian folk musik. :)

Love your reaction! It´s some how the same I reacted when hearin it tht first time. :-) keep on!! Greetings from Germany!
Some of the best reactions to any song . This is a good site .
Very cool, I enjoyed your fun reaction!
It is awesome fun! It's also called Progressive Rock.
Cute reaction. It is a song to laugh WITH, not AT. They are prog rock being playful. So it's okay to let it make you happy... :)

A Dutch band with the amazing Jan Akkerman on guitar. I enjoyed your comments very much.

Awesome reaction (at least as much as the auto translate told me:)
Was called 'Progressive Rock' genre. Several bands. Popular in northern Europe centered in Amsterdam. 70s.
