I was skeptical of buying another cheap pedal but after seeing the demos on UA-cam which were impressive I got a used MS-50G for $84 on reverb Are they the best sounds out there No but the sounds are AWESOME from the amps to the drives to the delays and reverbs also filters and EQs All very usable sounds you’ll never find a pedal that can do as much and sound as good for under $100 and only take up 1 spot on your board Out of the 50 or so pedals that I own this is one of the few I’ll never regret buying
As a hobbyist like me, a busy adult and a newbie, having this simple and cheap multifx like the Ms50g really helps. I don't want to mess around with cables, power supplies, etc.. and the costs of owning single stompboxes. I just need to focus practice and play. Yes, you need to setup patches, but it will just take an hour, set and forget. And its sounds good ( subjective). I have this one and a cheap flamma looper
I have that pedal and it's awesome.i liked the Marshall 1959 amp sim / cab sim and added an external analog pedal that works as a boost Mooer Rumble drive. And by the way it has a killer modulations effect to. It's phaser souuuundss great. Cheers from the Philippines
I love this pedal that I actually own 3. One is for my time and modulation the other is for my dirt patches and the third one which is in gold is a back up for my dirt patches. Great pedal it definitely aged well.
My pedal board now consists of MS-50G>stereo volume pedal> MS-70CDR. Used for electric and acoustic guitars. MS 70 is there for when I run out of processing power on the 50 or for volume swells into a shim or particle reverb. Nice Ibanez SL 1010. I have the one from the year after yours. Great video, reactions are awesome. 😁
I have the same setup! The volume pedal is optional though, just for that 1 song that requires volume swells. Other than that 1 song, I can perform almost anything just with the MS-50G & MS-70CDR on my pedalboard.
@@boimesa8190 The 50G is a basic guitar multiFX pedal. A bit of everything. The 70-CDR concentrates on chorus, delay and reverb effects only, some of them not available on the 50G. Also, each pedal has a limited processing power. Having 2 pedals means we can run twice as many effects at the same time.
Everybody has a different opinion on this, but buffered pedals end up sounding way better than true bypass pedals…. Even if this was true bypass… I’d still put a buffer in front of it!
Hi guys, nice channel! I just wanted to add that there is a way (not official) to edit presets on your computer, there are some videos around there covering that, I use it at home, its great.
I really like my Zoom MS-70CDR, besides the modulation and time-based effects it has some nice utilitarian effects like compressors and EQ's. Not every effect sounds as good as the other but some effects like the Particle Reverb really sound amazing. Plus it reacts to MIDI PC changes as well, check my video about USB MIDI. I hope they will update the firmware and add effects like an input/output switch or mixer or the option to use different effects for the left and right channel. Other than that: it's good value and a great pedal once you figure out the controls and Game Boy graphics.
@@thepedalpicassos Thanks Man ! killer tones you managed to tweak out of that little unit !...i guess ill be taking mine out of hibernation and actually start using it... !!! good video, please keep em coming !

I have Two Pedals I use Live, Zoom Ms 50G & Boss Bluesdriver. I Have Just discovered Midi Commander, Android based app and I use my Samsung pad to change patches (15) but you can heaps. Check it Out.
They use the same effects of a G1. And people turn their noses to the G1. Now just because its stompbox sized somehow there is a horde of fans. To ME, both sounds like shit. Whats the point of reducing rigs if they sound like that? Processed, compressed. Sounds like a toy.
I’ve just put up a new MS50G video where I dial in an edge of breakup tone. I’m monitoring in the studio with a power amp and Yamaha pa speakers. it sounds comparable to the Blues Deluxe I’ve been gigging with for the past 10 years. I might do a tone comparison……

Excellent demo gents. I just got one and love it. For the price you can’t beat it.

Just bought one, can’t wait to get started
Sweet!!! You’re about to have hours and hours of fun!!!!
Thanks for the video! The pedal functionality makes more sense now. Much appreciated!
The best little multifx unit
Sure is!
I have two. Great pedals that I can carry in my pocket. Battery powered as a massive bonus.
I just took two flights for a couple of gigs in Melbourne. The MS50G was in the kit as backup.
Amazing little pedals.
I have one with me as a backup when gigging
Totally agree Steve. I just travelled two flights to a gig and took one as a spare in case everything else failed!
I like you guys,. Looks like my Uncles playing and reviewing guitar effects ;) nice,.
we would also be the drunk uncles at your christmas party... making everyone feel awkward...

It sure has aged well! Great comment!!
What dirt effects in the ms50g you like?
I use one....I should say I'm getting to know it. Plus I plan to use it on an acoustic. Thanks for the demo..
Great sounds!

Planning to ditch Fractal Ax fx for one of these
I have the MS-50G & MS-60B and they BOTH just ROCK‼️..even TODAY!! b(‘_
We agree with everything you say! Amazing pedals amazing value
Thanks. I just ordered one on ebay today. Thanks for your description of it. Seems like it will be very useful. :)
I hope so! It's a really handy "swiss army knife" to have in your kit.
Sounds good! Are guys going direct into a PA, or are you going through an amp?
Hey Paul. Going directly into a mixer into a Mac.

*Can i use it as an audio interface to connect my guitar to PC?*
Unfortunately no. The USB connection is for firmware updating.
You're univibe sound was great! I can't get a decent setting. Can you tell me the settings you used for a univibe please? 😎
I’ll ask Rod what he did!

Does the other cable inserted on the R output means that it is inserted on the effects return on the back of your amp?
Not this time! We were running it in stereo! Both L and R outputs were going to the Iridium!

Yes you can!
guitar amp or direct to PA?
Direct in to the iridium... straight in to logic!
