Yes it would.. it will be a way bigger basket as most of that yarn calls for an 8mm hook and it's alot thicker..but to have it keep shape..use a 7mm hook or a 6.5mm .

It would really depend on your yarn and crochet hook. But mine was about the size of a store Easter basket

No..it's a regular 4 weight worsted red heart. I find DK to thin for a project like this
