Brother agar yeh question apko exam puchhte hai toh apko Dono axis ke centroidal distances find karne padte hai
Yani ke apko X-axis and Y-axis dono find karne hai
But yaha pr mene concept clear hone ke liye y-axis ka distance find kiya hai, Q ki figure symmetrical hai about Y axis toh centroid centre of the figure me hi lie karega

Why do some people take x bar as zero
Brother most of the time in competitive exams time is very less, so if you know that the figure is symmetric about one of the axis then tha centroid about that axis will be zero. So to avoid unnecessary calculation take y bar as zero. But still uf you want to calculate you can do that, at last the abswer will zero

No there will be no problem.
The centroid location will remains same.
You can take the reference axes at different location no issue with that
