This was an overseas world service programme probably for armed forces. I recall Brian mentioned this on his s.ot.s show.

Hi John, I was at Uni in the late 60s. Every Friday we had a Uni Hall of Residence informal dance and for these we had a talented student in-house dj. For a year or more, he would end the dance with Funny How Love Can Be. He always used to sign off with.....Hope you got lucky tonight girls and boys...y'know it's funny how love can be!

Supported the Ivy League in the 60's and the experience made us realise we could not make it. They and their backing group Division Two were brilliant. When we weren't playing we just watched them backstage in awe.

A great band with their own solid material. I wish they could have really broken through here in the states ! I have found a newer album with great songs and harmonies all with a 60's/70's vibe. That would be Rhythm Of The World by The Cowsills.
Absolutely fabulous performance. One of the things I miss most in today's so called "music" is the lack of great harmony; my favourite band, Steely Dan, are quoted as saying they too enjoy great harmony. I'm not sure if the recent so-called stars, eg Take that , actually sing in harmony or just in unison. As a former (rather poor) drummer I' m not well versed in such technicalities !!!!

@@JohnCarterUKSongwriter sadly, harmonies seem to have been left behind. I'm a big Everly fan and was exposed to all this great music through my dad. The Everly's, Beatles and The Ivy League will always be favourites.. I was born at the wrong time, wish I had been around in the 60's..
