I WILL BE SURPRISED IF I AM WRONG HERE, BUT THIS IS UNMISTAKABLY BADE GHULAM ALI KHAN, THOUGH FORMALLY, IF MISTAKENLY, ASCRIBED HERE TO JAGDISH PRASAD. THE TONAL TIMBRE, BEHLWA AND TANKARI COULD ONLY BE THAT OF BADE GHULAM ALI KHAN AND NONE ELSE.
This is definitely Pandit Jagdish Prasad ji. I have several of his recordings. Having said that, he learnt from Bade Ghulam ali khan saab, so the influence is obvious.
Dear Alok Babu, You will be happy to know that Jagdishji is the only disciple of UBAK who comes closest to his Gayaki and musicianship. He was a very close and dear friend of mine, whom cruel nature snatched away from the music world too early. A born artiste, a born musician - not acquired - the only vocalist to understand and execute the spirit of UBAK's gayaki. We have spent years and decades performing together.Thanks.
It is not easy to bring such exquisite level of 'thehraav' in a vakra-chalan raag like this. A great artist who remained utterly under-rated.

Unmistakably Pt. Jagdish Prasad. Note the slightly higher pitched and a bit more raspy quality to the voice.
@@mohanlalganguly3307 You are right. The subtle difference between JP and BGAK is right at that point.
@@MusicNayanGhosh it is so nice to see panditji your note that..🙏🙏🙏. Always looking forward for your tabla and sitar divinity...
