I have been waiting for this since 1988 lol. What gold to find it today....thank you so much for the post
I take it this is the demo's for the follow up to Within The Veil that was never released. I've read the music for this album was actually later all recorded in a studio and all that was left to do was for Dawn to record the vocal tracks but she disbanded the band before it was done. Damn, how close to having a proper Fear of God album with Michael Carlino's music.
Jesus... what could have been
She was my 18 yr old dream....
thank you for the upload. this sounds like it's with Carlino on guitars. where did this guy disappear? He and Dawn were magic.
Very interesting funky and groovy sound on "Suffering Baby". Influenced by FNM or Suicidal Tendencies, i think.
What happened to the rest of the band after Dawn died? They were all exceptional!
got this years ago from a trader. classic shit. I only had it on tape.
The Curse is such a cool song! Was anything ever done with these??
great stuff
Was this multi tracked and a really rough mix, or was this just a mic in the middle of the room while everyone played live? If it's the former, I will happily give it a proper mix if anyone can source the individual or bounced tracks.
This was recorded in the FOG rehearsal room in Los Feliz, CA on a Tascam 4track; drums bass and guitar live, vocals overdubbed. Warner Bros loved it so much they sent the band to London to record with Chris Tangeridies(Testamemt, Exodus, Bruce Dickinson, Concrete Blonde) imstrumemts were tracked for these tunes and more at Battery Studios, all that was missing were Dawn's vocals....
@@sonarefibris8477 Wow. Thank you for the info! Do those other tracks exist anywhere from the London sessions? I'm sure it's just wishful thinking, but I could make a mix of those and, assuming the arrangements and tempos are somewhat close to this rough demo, I could take Dawn's Tascam vocals and match them up.
I doubt this is possible, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
i have both of their cds still
so good. all hail dawn.
