A while ago, we had a severe thunderstorm where I live, and I've had a phobia of storms ever since I was young. Out of the blue, this song comes on as I try to drown the thunder out with music that night, and the more I sang it, the better I felt. This has been my remedy ever since. :)
Every song I ever hear with Nate in it is one of my favorites and people ask who Nate is. I feel like he's my secret precious treasure and maybe that's good because I can't handle these dang hipsers.
This song is amazingly meaningful for me. It comes on my mind in every shit situation and reminded me that I would get through it all finally. ❤ miss you, nate.
Songs like this is not as popular as huge assed Nicki! Don't get me wrong, I don't hate on Nicki Minaj but today music is full of sex but music like this is mostly underrated and considered as a masterpiece, by me.

I just want to come back after some years, I have delaing with depression and I realize how much Nate Ruess helped me, and I surprise to see this song came out 6 years ago!! Damn, I remember I used to looked constantly UA-cam waiting the next song to be uploaded, and see there was a new song gave me a moment of happiness, I used to heared and loved this song but after many things I finally FEEL IT, and damn, this song have always be my lifeline 💗

It brings back that feeling when I leave town and my granny who raised me in 18 years, for the first time. How I missed her, how I feel alone in a whole new city. Especially now, after she passed away. Everytime I hear these words, I think I'm gonna cry uncontrollably.
