@@CL--two Totally agree with you. I have always liked a bit of variety with cover versions and yes Prince does this one justice. Some of the comments disagree - but he approached covers with his own style. Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys - musical genius and knows a thing or two about songs - says this is his favourite Beatles track. Some songs shouldn’t be covered - Hey Jude, Bohemian Rhapsody, Purple Rain etc. Purple Rain was covered by Miley Cyrus - imo it’s shocking!
Bohemian Rhapsody was my absolute favourite long time ago. that was something never heard before. my first concert ever was Queen in Frankfurt. before the gig started they played in the hall songs from a tape machine. one tune I never heard before (I was pretty young,,) and I LOVED it ! later I found out it was "Deacon Blues" by Steely Dan. great time back then
@@CL--two Steely Dan - amazing band. I wonder how many of your subscribers would know “Deacon Blues” - it’s a stunner of a track. Somehow , Don Fagen’s vocals sound off key and yet they are not - hard to explain. And that saxophone. Big fan of Queen - as a lover of Rock and Metal I love their first 2 albums.

Nice version.
However, it is a classic track and I can only associate it with The Beatles.
no one can beat this original imo...but it´s a nice tribute
