I believe that gardening and the vegan diet is the future of humanity. Overpopulation will bring a need to eat cleaner, eat more compassionately, and eat more locally. The best food you can feed to yourself and your family is local, garden fresh produce from your front and backyard. Grow a food forest. Here a Tour of my edible garden and front/backyard food jungle! I can sit and watch these videos all day. I started my garden this year. I found a banana tree on a trash pile and planted it. It gave me 2 baby trees and it died. I cut it down but I left it hoping it will come back next year. I will add more trees next year. You are inspirational.

How close together have you planted your trees, generally? I've read all about pruning to keep them small and planting densely. I'm trying to figure out just how many trees I can cram into my yard. Also, how close are your citrus trees to make the hedge?

UA-cam is great but you really should sit down and write a few books with pictures of the plants u grow. You would reach a more diversified audience and far reaching. Not to mention make way more money than on UA-cam or dealing seeds. I'm inspired by ur vids and I lived in mesa and Tempe most of my life, thinking like everyone else that nothing can grow there for very long. I laugh when I see you eating tree leaves but it's cool to think u don't have to spend money at the store.

I am planning now to be able to plant my urban backyard farm in the albuquerque area next season. We live on a military base so everything has to go to raised beds and I dont know how or IF I should try some trees as they will have to stay when we must move again. I am excited and nervous and there are SO MANY things I want to grow but I have to put up a fence and then perhaps line it with a windbreak. It is so windy.... If you have any advice, I would surely appreciate it.

had a life experience will call it and ended up living at my friend's condo and I just dumped pounds of potatoes out of a container and if I would have waited just a month I would have had about 150 lb in a surprisingly small pot one that I can handle and I'm sick right now my muscles are not what they were. I have lesions on my brain and I just had a new scan and they're gone so it looked like MS but the lesions are healed! anyway I have new potatoes that are growing they were in a bag to be planted and they were all smashed down and they were like these cute little coin mushroom things so they were practically ready to eat when I planted them so they're getting ready to flower and die down I'm in Washington state so I'll be getting a good batch I think by September or October

yay! I was wanting to see how you set up the front yard because I have some things growing in my front yard too that you inspired me to do. Do you put cardboard down for your fruit trees before mulching on top? So far I have pomegranate, fig, mango, 2 palms(since it's florida and they were given to me for free lol), rosemary, and a dragon fruit I have to plant in the ground soon...the right side of my yard has a few scrub oaks that I plan on taking down and use the mulch from them but plant some fruit trees there too. In the back I have lychee, mulberry and a carribean red papaya .... hopefully my yard will look as cool as yours by the end.
