This seemed to him like a good idea until he gets roped into defending a young man accused of stagecoach robbery. This is another film from the www.westernsont... collection. This movies original release was in 1932 when every child at the movies wanted to grow up and become a western cowboy hero. My Dad was a friend of Hoot's, in Hoot's later years. He was always thrilled to know him bcz he was such a good man, a kindly person, and Dad had really loved all Hoot's movies, always said Hoot was just about his favorite actor long before he ever met him.
I don't know why, but this was my first Hoot Gibson movie, tonight. And I agree with my Dad. It was a really good movie and Hoot did just great.

Love the scene at 55:00 where the posse member is trying to get on his horse. Never made it by the time he was off screen. I heard laughter at the end.

I had never heard of Hoot Gibson. Turns out he was a pretty big deal. He was a real-life rodeo champion, and, according to Wikipedia, "From the 1920s through the 1940s, Gibson was a major film attraction, ranking second only to Tom Mix as a Western film box-office draw."
