thank you so so much for sharing. this is the first video I watch of you, I'm going to watch all of your video as I'm in the process of applying NDIS for my son. I would love to have the template of the carer impact statement you mentioned. thank you again and all the best to you and you family.
Your presence has improved alot on camera and you look so much more relaxed and confident. Love that your doing a series and I can see this topic being rather popular as I used to work as a disability employment consultant.
This is really helpful but I’m watching this video 4 years after it was made so there’s a few things that have changed. I’m applying shortly and I’m hoping the application will be accepted, so Im trying to have all my documents ready.
Hi Shevy. Awesome video with LOTS of Great info & tips. Thankyou.......... Just a question: At around min 10:14 u mention a "Predictability Plan". Is that the same as a Behaviour Support Plan? Cheers. Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!!
Hey!! I'm glad the video has helped! The Predictability Plan I mentioned is different from a Behaviour Support Plan. It pretty much is just what I use to run through what my son has on for the day, much like a class time table at school. So it just lists out what is happening for the day and either approximately when (e.g. morning, lunch ish) or the order (e.g. school then an appointment) I hope that makes sense!!
@@TheMillennialParent Your reply came at the perfect time. I'm just about to start working with a new client & I was asking their Support Co-ordinator what his day to day routine is. Now I know the technical name for it I'll ask for A Predictability plan. Cheers
Thank you so much for uploading this and for the amount of detail you've included. I'm thinking of applying for the NDIS for some time but I've found it a bit overwhelming. This video has made the process much easier and less daunting.
Thank you for watching!! It was daunting when I was looking to apply too, but definitely give it a go and apply! We were told to not try but I'm so glad we did, it just has made access to what we need possible. I really can go on about how much it has helped. A few points during the application process I would personally take a step back if I felt overwhelmed and go back to it at a later point in the day. But you can do this! I'm so happy I could help and good luck with it!!
I seriously watched this thinking that you were the spokesperson of NDIS!! Wow the information, your delivery and your speech was so well prepared! So informative and if anyone I know is searching or needing this that I know of I'm am going to direct this video straight to them !! Well done babe xx
Thank you so much! Haha nahh not a spokesperson, just someone who went through it. If they have any questions let them know to not hesitate in hitting me up ❤❤
I've been trying to get section 3 filled for 2 years - I keep giving up as I don't have a regular GP & I've had mobility issues for 3 years so getting to a GP is an big issue as I do t have anyone regular so I end up giving up & then 6 months later I try again / rinse/repeat
I'm glad that you got through without drama, however, the reality of the application process has absolutely been a "big and scary" nightmare, waste of time and money for me. It seems that people with autism get through easily, but, complex conditions get rejected.
I'm sorry your experience has been a nightmare. I do hate that with the system, if you have a disability you should get the help and support needed! This measurement of impacted "enough" is a huge flaw. :(
Love your description box information and links too, you really have thought of everything. Maybe next time the odd flash on the screen with the links too. (Just a thought)
Hey Sophie! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!! If you could email me at themillennialparentonline@gmail.com and I'll get that to you!! Thank you again for watching! :D
Omg This is so helpful I want to cry My son ticks all these boxes We and he can’t afford help And he’s attempted suicide twice because he sees no way of coping I must get onto this I found it too hard to understand
*hugs* I am so happy I could help. With all the misinformation the whole thing is made out to be big, confusing and scary but it isn't! You and your son hang in there, it truly does get better! ❤❤❤
Has this changed in regards to who can fill out the accesss request? I have Muscular Dystrophy and my physio is filling it in for me in conjunction with my OT.
As far as I'm aware, they haven't changed it. I have heard of some people having physios fill them out and no issues, but have also heard the opposite where they needed to get the forms done all over again. If you're in doubt, 100% call the NDIS, they'll tell you what the current practices are. Hopefully it's all good!
Hi. Thank you for your video. I am wondering if you could send me your template for the carer impact statement. Also, can I simply send recent reports to the ndis without getting the form filled in? My son's specialists are over 500km each way and we don't have the ability to get these forms completed within the 28days and it does say or send reports in. Thank you so much Wendy
I certainly can send you the template. If you could send an email to themillennialparentonline@gmail.com I send send it through. Unfortunately the form does need to get filled out, it can be filled out by the specialists or your local GP if they're closer (I saw our GP it was faster and cheaper). If you need more time than the 28 days, give them a call and they'll grant an extension, they understand getting the paperwork or getting to the people for paperwork doesn't always happen fast. I hope this helps!
Thank you so much, that means so much to me. I certainly can send it to you, could you please flick me an email to TheMillennialParentOnline@gmail.com and I can send it.

Can I have the Carter’s impact statement template please?
Does a carer have to be a registered carer to provide a statement?
Could not find any links
