Fun fact about yunlis counter, if something attacks you and either cant be targeted or dies when attacking you, yunli will counter a random enemy instead, really nice qol thing
I have e6 clara, so im skipping her. no point in rolling for her. I will grab her cone for clara though. I wish she was at least a different element then clara so i had at least 1 justification for pulling her, but I have nothing
I mean... A double counter team that uses both of them can be quite fun, with clara's base kit making it so she doesn't need to be hit while in her ult state and especially with her E6 making it so she needs to be hit even less, it can make for a pretty strong team especially against enemies that have a lot of blast damage or AoE attacks, In the new mode for example she can be a second dps for physical weak enemies like boss Argenti. (Yunli's lightcone is very much needed here of course) It is most certainly not the best way to use these characters, but it would still be a strong team that shouldn't fall behind much if at all to other options, given the correct scenarios. I myself will be using Clara/Yunli/Aventurine/Robin as soon as she comes out to clear both Pure Fiction and Apocalyptic Shadow :)
if you have E6 clara, yunli LC isnt that big of an improvement because you already have near 100% uptime on her ultimate. DHIL or high imposition clara LC would be better. also, yeah, its unfortunate theyre the same element. but, consider this: yunli, clara, robin, huohuo

I pull for everyone, but I'm especially excited to pull for Yunli. New gameplay style that's only been available with Clara, great damage, and animations that have HEFT to them...really can't wait to try her out!
Yunli - Yukong - Tingyun have insane synergy because Yukong roaring bowstrings buff Tingyuns skill which makes her buff Yunli even harder. I think I might be able to 0cycle with Yunli - Yukong - Tingyun - March Hunt/Hanya/Pela team. Also for autobattling Yunli + Hanya + Tingyun felt EXTREMELY comfy for some reason... No one has said this anywhere but Hanya + Penacony planar set + Planetary Rendezvous goes kinda hard for F2P players with only 4* supports but yeah Yukong Tingyun was big damage combo, blew my mind.

yeah I was hoping comparisons between Clara and Yunli would be discussed on this video to help other players deciding on to pull for her or not. I personally am not too keen on pulling for her unless someone discusses on how Yunli will improve my teams despite already having Clara.
Clara is my best unit currently and i cant help but feel a little sad to see Clara 2... but now limited, has a self heal, an ult insurance A2, blast counters, and more. Even stole her shoe preference.
Great guide as always. I think that while she does share the physical element with Clara and is a counter unit, her counters are different enough to differentiate her, and her playstyle is much more interesting. To say nothing of the fact that her potential damage is higher than Clara. I can't wait to pull her!
For people who didn’t pull for every 5 star like me best 4 star team is tingyun and Hanya people seem to forget about her but she gives ult damage increases skill points and atk buff with alt mainly for the ult damage increase with skill 👍
I want to pull for her. I really REALLY do, but seeing what's on the horizon, I think I'll wait for a rerun and instead save for future patches. I'll just have to bite the bullet in not picking her up this time and instead focus in building up March instead to fill the void.
Greatsword is one of my favorite weapons in Monster Hunter games, so after seeing her animations plus my fondness for counter characters in various games, I am interested in pulling for her. However, due to the mandatory manual playstyle and the fact I already have Clara, I won't be too upset if I don't get her right now.

Firefly snagged Aeon from my Clara 😢 I thought the CC immunity and taunt had near permanent uptime, but it’s only before her 1 ult counter? She might be closer to Clara than I thought.
There's no interaction because her ultimate isn't an attack that does damage, it's just a stance change, and the Intuit: Cull and Intuit Slash attacks she does are follow up attacks that are also considered ultimate damage, not the other way around. The blessing doesn't affect them.
Wasn't her lightcone at a ridiculous aggro increase of like 5x the amount? It was leaked a while ago and I don't know if that changed. Supposedly much higher than Clara's or even Gepard's lightcone aggro
I've been a bit bummed since I couldn't get Jade (yeah I know there is still time) but honestly...now I am saving for the funny and cute counter attacker. And I will play her with Clara for absolute counter madness
Is Ruan Mei a valid harmony to run with her or is dealing too much toughness enough of a downside to not consider it? Wanted to use her if I ever do a dual dps comp with Yunli as I THINK it would be better than Sparkle (in a scenario where I don't have Robin)
You mentioned her having some minor counter-intuitiveness with Adventurine since he wants to take hits for Blind Bet. It actually makes no difference since her follow-up will trigger his trace, so he'll get the two points either way (unless you're getting hit 4 times between adventurine turns I guess)
I really dont care about synergies, i CARE FOR SHOELESS combo. Clara and Yunli. With e6 clara Clara wanting to get hit is not an issue anymore since it can trigger on allies aswell. So their synergi is really great now!

definitely pulling her and her LC, maybe even houhou as the only limited sustain I have is Bailu. been farming firefly set and saved every dps valorous piece just in case so I'm happy to hear this is her best option. thanks for the breakdown.
lol I use auto for one single thing, calyxes. I have to walk away from the computer or tab over to something while doing it tho. Auto AI makes my eyes bleed.
The problem with Yunli is her Light Cone. I don't have Clara, so I was excited to pull for her, but I already have Firefly so I'll have to get another Aeon or just go S1
Lol looking at the recommended teams, those are EXACTLY the same teams I used with my Clara. Down to the sidenote of "she is thus great in all three endgame modes"😂 Nonetheless I will pull for her because she looks absolutely badass, is super cute, and I have been a Monster Hunter Greatsword main since my PSP days
I love this character because she is perfectly fine at e0 and we do not see drastic gameplay change at e1 or e2 like some of the previous characters meaning it’s really free to play friendly and you’re not missing anything much at all. I wish we see more character like this in the future
Peeved we finally get a new physical destruction and she is Clara 2.0. We will eventually get another physical destruction and I hope that one is more creative with the kit.
Tbh, I think this might be it: the fact that we haven’t had a double path limited unit, ESPECIALLY since we still have spots to fill other than this, tells me that we’re going to have to wait awhile till we get to that point of double trait-path units. We’re going to wait awhile till we ever get another physical Destruction.
Was thinking of skipping for acheron Firefox support, but after his recent nerf, I feel I would just skip 2.4 for 2.5 but somehow I got yunli relic set complete by accident while farming for firefly so yeah
@@guobacertified I feel like Sparkle is not that great without s1. Yunli already saturates on crit dmg , the action forward is useless and it makes you run out of tingyun and huohuo's buffs faster
Tldr: If you like clara playstyle but can't find her in standard, pull If you're expecting her to do well in environments clara dont, she won't. She will have *some* improvements, but not worth the cost if you already have clara. If you have clara already, consider pulling yunli's lightcone.
Great video as usual, was really hoping for a comparative to Clara though as there's a Lot of overlap (bare feet included!). If I have E0S1 Clara how would she match up against E0S1 Yunli? or a E0S1 Clara with Yunli LC vs. E0S1 Yunli?
I'm really struggling to decide if I should try for her LC or save pulls for other supports or just other characters entirely. Lynx isnt great but if I get the LC i don't have Huo Huo or Aventurine to put in so I could be using those pulls on a fuller roster.

Funny enough, I've been playing since launch and have never pulled a copy of Clara. Instead, I've gotten 5 copies of Gepard, 4 copies of Himeko, 4 copies of Yanqing, 3 copies of Bailu and I used my 300 guarantee to get Bronya. I lost my last 50/50 on the Firefly banner, so I'm excited to get Yunli.
It's strange there isn't a single mention of follow-up attack in her kit. It makes me wonder if she's considered a FUA character at all? Do her counters actually considered FUA?

I have a question: I have: Seele, Daniel, Jingliu, Acheron, Firefly, Kafka, SilverWolf, Luocha, Aventurine, Fu Xuan, Ruan Mei, Robin, Sparkle, Dr Ratio, Jade, E2 Bronya, E3 Welt, Clara, Himeko, Bailu and Gepard. The question in my mind is: From a meta perspective should i pull for Yunli ? I initially thought i should so i can have a better Physical coverage than Clara and also have a FUA character to work with Robin BUT if i get Yunli i will also need to get HuoHuo to fill her burst and i am not sure if it is worth that much. Do you think i should pull for Yunli and then try for HuoHuo or just save for future characters and Black Swan (needed for my Kafka if DOT is still strong) ? How strong will Yunli be for the existing end game modes compare to its current respective top characters ?

So the thing I want to know is could she replace Fire MC on my Acheron team? (Acheron, Pela, Gallagher, Fire MC) I don't think she'd be able to ult frequently enough to compete with Fire MC's Taunt+TotUM. But I need someone with experience with her to tell me how frequently she gets her ult back up

2 things i would like to say 1) Clara with ultimate doesn't have to be hit directly! how u ll manage to have her ult 100% uptime i do not know... but i know i would love to see an enemy attack my ally get countered by 4 team members xD (counter attack teams sound so much fun to me!) 2) Tingyun is counter synergistic! (my Clara with March Shield, Lynx Skill, Clara's LC = Tingyun get repeatedly attacked)

guoba...jade e0s1 or yunli e0s1? Context: I'm currently having some trouble in PF, so. I'm tempted to pull for one of these two units. I don't really have trouble in MoC or AP (even tho it just started so idk) so I'm not worried about those modes. my account has Himeko, Tingyun E6, Huo^2, RM, and Aven as the gacha characters w the most synergy w the specified characters.
If you're doing fine in MoC and AS then definitely pull for Jade. She's pretty much the Queen of PF. Also you should consider building Herta if you have the time and resources
I’m wondering about just pulling Yunli’s lightcone and putting it on Clara. I don’t know if that would be better than s3 Something Irreplacable though. I could just pull for Huohuo instead though.
If I don't have Robin, Topaz and Huo Huo (I have the jades tho), should I pull for her? Or should I save and see the other dps first like Feixiao? I already have Firefly for the break team, so I need some good dps for the 2nd team that doesn't use RM and TB.
Follow your heart, but none of those characters are necessary for Yunli. Yunli, March, Lynx is already a strong and accessible core. The support slot is flexible and doesn’t have to be amazing out of the gate. If you have Sparkle, great. If not, Pela or Silver Wolf is fine. Either way, strong support units in the future are high priority due to how flexible they are, so lacking a good support for the team should be a temporary issue.

Clara is nothing against Yunli even at E6 tbh.
She's a slight upgrade to Clara, clearing around 1 cycle earlier at e0, the gap gets closer with Clara eidolons

As a Clara main she is an easy skip but like damn if they didn't make her better in nearly every way. Feels bad.

Wasn't her lightcone at a ridiculous aggro increase of like 5x the amount? It was leaked a while ago and I don't know if that changed. Supposedly much higher than Clara's or even Gepard's lightcone aggro

Is Ruan Mei a valid harmony to run with her or is dealing too much toughness enough of a downside to not consider it? Wanted to use her if I ever do a dual dps comp with Yunli as I THINK it would be better than Sparkle (in a scenario where I don't have Robin)
I don’t like the anti synergy with delays and weakness efficiency but I can test more
You mentioned her having some minor counter-intuitiveness with Adventurine since he wants to take hits for Blind Bet. It actually makes no difference since her follow-up will trigger his trace, so he'll get the two points either way (unless you're getting hit 4 times between adventurine turns I guess)
I really dont care about synergies, i CARE FOR SHOELESS combo. Clara and Yunli. With e6 clara Clara wanting to get hit is not an issue anymore since it can trigger on allies aswell. So their synergi is really great now!

definitely pulling her and her LC, maybe even houhou as the only limited sustain I have is Bailu. been farming firefly set and saved every dps valorous piece just in case so I'm happy to hear this is her best option. thanks for the breakdown.
Bailu is a 5-star, but she is standard not limited
Yunli is so interesting!! She enabled some counter play against certain enemies, and have high ceilings compared to other traditional dps unit.

It did mess em up. Lucky the trace saves it but yeah, hence why I talka bout her needing manual play

lol I use auto for one single thing, calyxes. I have to walk away from the computer or tab over to something while doing it tho. Auto AI makes my eyes bleed.

Theoretically clara doesn't strictly need to be hit directly (Ult enhanced counters/e6) so a team with both of them isn't as bad as initially thought.

The problem with Yunli is her Light Cone. I don't have Clara, so I was excited to pull for her, but I already have Firefly so I'll have to get another Aeon or just go S1
Lol looking at the recommended teams, those are EXACTLY the same teams I used with my Clara. Down to the sidenote of "she is thus great in all three endgame modes"😂
Nonetheless I will pull for her because she looks absolutely badass, is super cute, and I have been a Monster Hunter Greatsword main since my PSP days
I love this character because she is perfectly fine at e0 and we do not see drastic gameplay change at e1 or e2 like some of the previous characters meaning it’s really free to play friendly and you’re not missing anything much at all. I wish we see more character like this in the future
but in compensation her s1 is very important, also her e1 is like a 50% damage increase

My problem with Yunli is that when you lose 50:50 and get Clara. mixed feeling when you need just 1 physical counter unit to build.
Peeved we finally get a new physical destruction and she is Clara 2.0.
We will eventually get another physical destruction and I hope that one is more creative with the kit.
Tbh, I think this might be it: the fact that we haven’t had a double path limited unit, ESPECIALLY since we still have spots to fill other than this, tells me that we’re going to have to wait awhile till we get to that point of double trait-path units.

Was thinking of skipping for acheron Firefox support, but after his recent nerf, I feel I would just skip 2.4 for 2.5 but somehow I got yunli relic set complete by accident while farming for firefly so yeah

If you like clara playstyle but can't find her in standard, pull
If you're expecting her to do well in environments clara dont, she won't. She will have *some* improvements, but not worth the cost if you already have clara.
If you have clara already, consider pulling yunli's lightcone.
Great video as usual, was really hoping for a comparative to Clara though as there's a Lot of overlap (bare feet included!). If I have E0S1 Clara how would she match up against E0S1 Yunli? or a E0S1 Clara with Yunli LC vs. E0S1 Yunli?

Eh, they're fighting each other for aggro. Only if there are a ton of blast and aoe attacks coming your way
E6 Clara doesn't care about getting hit, she can steal hits from Yunli tho @@someguy1ification
I'm really struggling to decide if I should try for her LC or save pulls for other supports or just other characters entirely. Lynx isnt great but if I get the LC i don't have Huo Huo or Aventurine to put in so I could be using those pulls on a fuller roster.

Funny enough, I've been playing since launch and have never pulled a copy of Clara. Instead, I've gotten 5 copies of Gepard, 4 copies of Himeko, 4 copies of Yanqing, 3 copies of Bailu and I used my 300 guarantee to get Bronya.
I lost my last 50/50 on the Firefly banner, so I'm excited to get Yunli.
It's strange there isn't a single mention of follow-up attack in her kit. It makes me wonder if she's considered a FUA character at all? Do her counters actually considered FUA?

I have a question: I have: Seele, Daniel, Jingliu, Acheron, Firefly, Kafka, SilverWolf, Luocha, Aventurine, Fu Xuan, Ruan Mei, Robin, Sparkle, Dr Ratio, Jade, E2 Bronya, E3 Welt, Clara, Himeko, Bailu and Gepard.
The question in my mind is: From a meta perspective should i pull for Yunli ?
I initially thought i should so i can have a better Physical coverage than Clara and also have a FUA character to work with Robin BUT if i get Yunli i will also need to get HuoHuo to fill her burst and i am not sure if it is worth that much. Do you think i should pull for Yunli and then try for HuoHuo or just save for future characters and Black Swan (needed for my Kafka if DOT is still strong) ? How strong will Yunli be for the existing end game modes compare to its current respective top characters ?
She's better than jingliu and dhil so take that as you will

@@JunkoEnoshima. In moc acheron>yunli~firefly, in pf yunli>dotcheron>firefly>normal Acheron, in apoc acheron>firefly>yunli. As for the gaps, depending on your builds and playstyle, if you have leless than 80cr on yunli, she will fall off hard

2 things i would like to say
1) Clara with ultimate doesn't have to be hit directly! how u ll manage to have her ult 100% uptime i do not know... but i know i would love to see an enemy attack my ally get countered by 4 team members xD (counter attack teams sound so much fun to me!)
2) Tingyun is counter synergistic! (my Clara with March Shield, Lynx Skill, Clara's LC = Tingyun get repeatedly attacked)

To think that Yunli mains need to be knowledgable enough to know which attack can be countered, especially if you need to target which one to hit

Context: I'm currently having some trouble in PF, so. I'm tempted to pull for one of these two units. I don't really have trouble in MoC or AP (even tho it just started so idk) so I'm not worried about those modes. my account has Himeko, Tingyun E6, Huo^2, RM, and Aven as the gacha characters w the most synergy w the specified characters.
If you're doing fine in MoC and AS then definitely pull for Jade. She's pretty much the Queen of PF. Also you should consider building Herta if you have the time and resources

No idea on how good feixiao will be. I guess save if you dont really like the look of her kit and dont have many team options
Noneed for topaz, you can use any buffer. She stacks crit damage, fua damage, ultimate damage, anything
Follow your heart, but none of those characters are necessary for Yunli. Yunli, March, Lynx is already a strong and accessible core. The support slot is flexible and doesn’t have to be amazing out of the gate. If you have Sparkle, great. If not, Pela or Silver Wolf is fine. Either way, strong support units in the future are high priority due to how flexible they are, so lacking a good support for the team should be a temporary issue.
