This begs for a 'Humans Return" sequel
Would be funny if they took the enemies cradle world sun and encased it in a Dyson sphere then drove it back to the Sol system. Sorry it took us so long to get back, you have no idea how long it takes to stop one of these.

Galaxy gets invaded, humans fight back, somebody from the council betrays human kind and invaders genocide every human colony?
Humans swear vengeance and chase after them?
Worst thing an alien could do in a hfy universe is to piss off any number of humans.

What even is this hfy stuff? It feels like soulless npcs trying to recreate classic scifi without understanding why it was made in the first place, and without the edge and political incorrectness that made it desirable... feels almost down at reddit tier...

@@Sethy1ST Then why is none of it about the greatness of humanity? It's all these sideways insults, ohh, humanity so so badass they're violent savages that everybody thinks are psychos, etc.. Where are the gran human empires that wiped out all the problems in the universe and rule with an iron fist? why is it all like trekkie-pussy stuff? Where's the strength? are these even men writing this stuff?
And putting profanity int he acronym is pretty tactless.

this would make a great film starting with the old alien with his class talking about asking for help then it changes to showing the actual story only then to finish up showing the pockets of humans left on other worlds starting again

The pizza and beer line is indeed one of the funnier sudden swerves in this sort of story. Also interesting to see one where the humans don't immediately win every fight they're in, and CAN be betrayed like that after getting into space.
That said, yeah, this feels like a part 1. Obviously, if they're discussing it, then humans did indeed manage to take out the enemy who threatened everyone. With no home and no family to come back to, it can be assumed they stayed and made use of the enemy's worlds instead.
Still, the betrayer is still somewhere in the galactic community, and now the Council has to be terrified. Either an unstoppable enemy who cares nothing for anyone save themselves is going to come back and kill everything. Or humans are going to come back, victorious over that enemy that couldn't have hurt them without someone betraying them, and they're going to be looking to find out who did it.
With less than a million humans left and the Earth destroyed, I think humans are in no position to win galactic wars anytime soon.
Sounds like not much of a glactic to fight.

Great story! I hope there are a couple of sequels (one telling about what happened to the motherships; and another about finding out who betrayed the humans).
There are 6 more parts but they are mostly subplots of another chapter. There is another sub-part that got started but I haven't finished it yet. Thank you for the compliment. (To clarify, I wrote the story, IceFiction is the one to give it life.)

@@firefighter_raven Oh you have to finish it! This is too good a story to just leave us hanging lol. Someone above mentioned how it would make a good film but I think an anime would be better! Think of the merch you could sell! I would happily walk around with a t-shirt that said..."Where is my beer and pizza?"

Good story...but I always think. If we...the human race.... were only so honorable as these stories say.

That was legit a great line. Made me laugh out loud. Typical human humor. Despite our faults, we do always show up to help when others are in need.

i really like the story, but if the human race had done something as extreme as moving an entire planet to another, and did so less than one lifetime ago, you’d really think the kids would at least KNOW of the humans and not think they’re a myth
We have people who say that concentration camps did not exist. People forget things that make them uncomfortable
@@catherinelarkin5492 i see your point, but to be frank this scenario is a lot more dramatic than the holocaust. i mean it was an entire planet. people who weren’t personally affected or witnessed the holocaust can pretty easily deny it with the right mindset. but with it having happened to people who are still alive, it happened to literally every bodies grandparents. you’re right though with enough time it absolutely could fade into myth, i just don’t think it would happen THAT quickly. very good analogy though you make a good point with it
