This combo on ethanol loves it. This one actually gave up early around 25psi 14 deg it stopped gaining 40whp per psi, usually they like 14psi 22deg up top this one only wanted 19

My 6.0 w/ VS Racing 69mm on 12 psi ran a 13.2 in the 1/4 mile LMAO. Tuning myself, I'm guessing idk wtf I'm doing based on my time... 14 degree of timing and 11.1 AFR
It spools up very very slowly, mainly because of my torque converter.. I'm guessing if I could flash it at 3500rpm in boost before taking off, my time might be a lot better
What's your 60'? I have a 4.8 and 76/65 and it gives me 3psi by 2400. Am also learning to tune myself. Cant get out of the hole to save my life, i see my 14psi limit at around 5000ish i think. Nbs silverado so it's heavy, shit 60', ran 15.6 lmao had same setup in a lighter car, different timing, 8psi, 2.3 60', ran 12.5@117.
I think all of the 6.0 LS engines will make that kind of power based off of what I've been seeing here. The Gen 4 style rods I believe is the style of rod that is more durable again from my understanding but they came earlier in the 6.0's than the other LS engines just when exactly that happened I'm not sure.
Duncans Garage 04 and up should have the good rods. 04 is a dice roll, if it has 13mm exhaust manifold and lifter valley bolts it's pretty likely to have the gen4 rods
its a totally stock longblock with a cam, and springs, never opened, it has stock rings yes, the only other thing it has different is a ls6 car intake to close the hood as the truck one is too tall

Did you use the stock hat in the fuel tank? Do you happen to have any build videos because I’m sure I will have dozens more questions as I work on this swap over the winter...

I built the car initially with the stock control arms but with the drag radials and as the power got higher, it began to rip the bolts out so I installed a custom ladder bar suspension in it. I am using the stock fuel hat. I did modify it with a -8 bulkhead for the feed line though.

Because they feel their engine of choice is superior somehow or they just have money to burn or some ridiculous combination of the two. The budget friendly parts is what I think has made me a chevy fan over the years. I've built countless SBC's and now this LS movement has me wanting to jump in and fiddle with it again!
The best part of our hobby is that there's more than one way to the top. It's boring to see the same thing over and over and over again. While no, there's not too many different platforms that respond so well to mods for so cheap, there's plenty of good choices for the non LS people. I am all for anything that makes power. Minus electric cars. They are fast af but have no soul.
I forgot one, thanks to Damien for reminding me. Some people just want to be different. There honestly probably more but I think these are the big ones... And yes Damien it would be really boring if everyone was running a turbo LS

worn out oil rings on high mile motors also caked still with mileage, pretty normal for old motors to smoke on decel

correct, gen4 is technically a 58x with DOD oiling block, so the gen3 24x with ls2 style floaters is a 3.5. non technically technically
