My youngest son used to untangle my moms necklaces. It wouldnt even have a kink in it when he finished. He was a child back then and I was always so amazed. Then years later when I started to knit and crochet...I used to love to untangle my yarn. I dont crochet and knit hardly ever anymore. I have abandoned projects because of knit..knit..knit as well. My hands would hurt and I would just get tired of it. Now I pretty much just cross stitch and diamond paint. I love it. I got so tickled when you said meatball on skewer. I name my symbols too. I call that particular symbol Saturn. I also love the way your stitching looks. I am considering doing the HAED SAL for 2025 on 16 count aida. I just know if I do...its gonna be huge. I usually do 25 count and tent stitch.
How do you divide up your pattern ( passes) maybe you have told and I just missed it . I am currently working on a full coverage. I’ve made it across the top row and trying to decide how to divide it up
I divide my piece by 60 rows as that is what fits easily in my frame on 14 count. This pattern did not divide perfectly by 60 (I had 20 rows extra) so the first two passes were 70 rows each, then the following ones are 60 rows. When I work on 18 count my passes are 80 rows.

You need to get a Tesla with Autopilot. Then you can stitch on all your car trips.
