Good stuff as usual. Today is my 50th wedding anniversary. a day to celebrate with a beer.
Happy anniversary, Bob! 🍻
Hey Bob, Happy anniversary.
That's a beer style you don't see being made as much anymore - a good, classic, American Amber Ale. When made right, it can be one of the best beers ever!
Great stuff as always guys
I like the guest brewer aspect! 👍
This is the beer I cut my teeth on, starting my homebrewing adventures 9 years ago. Cheerz.
If you were cutting your teeth you were doing it wrong. 😊
Amber ale, nice for these cooler temps moving into fall.
Nice work Matt! Looks killer!
Wished Matt posted more on UA-cam. And not get caught up in all the noise. Amber is always on tap here.
Great video as always gents!
Agreed - his videos were amazing
"Gas, grass, or a**, no one rides for free." Always look forward to your videos.!. Best to you guys!
The one I saw said cash instead of gas.
Another wonderful video. Would love to see you guys brew up a graf.
Here’s something sorta kinda similar: ua-cam.com/video/Zn0PawHgihQ/v-deo.html
I brewed this recipe and I am really enjoying it! Easy drinker, will definitely keep this in the rotation! Thanks for the video guys!
Very cool. Cheers! - James
I think the extra .01 grams of Calcium Chloride made all the difference! Fun video, Cheers!
I've been working on formulating an American Amber recipe and my salt additions are about half of what Matt used. I might have to give this one a try and blind test it against my normal salt additions. James, I wondering if you've discovered the Mean Brews youtube page? He does research of award winning recipes for many different beer styles and then post a recipe based on the research. I think you'd enjoy it. Cheers!
Not a fan of Ambers but I am a fan of this video.
Sounds and looks like a Sierra Nevada.
Young Fronkenstein Rocks
Thank you, doctor.
woohoo
Does it resemble amberbock?
Not having tasted them side-by-side, I can't say for sure, but probably not. - James
Damn your eyes!
Too late. 😆
Would one treat RO water the same as distilled for brewing a beer?
I believe so. -James
Yup!
About how many IBUs ??
According to Matt's recipe, he calculated 34 IBUs using the Tinseth formula. - James
