But black wyrm has a very weird 1st blood lust window If he enters overdrive at 85% hp(which if you don't deal too much damage, he'll always do so) His blood lust mechanic is almost as good as guaranteed the moment you hit 72%, yes 72% is the metric for this fight for some reason At 1:20, he does the roar with slow puddles The move after this specific time stamp can be followed with a jump back, like in the video IF after he does the jump back and he's already at 72% and if he does NOT follow it up with a laser to enable stun, that's a run reset because he goes into blood lust immediately after There are so many times he's done a jump back > body slam jump back > flame breath jump back > another jump back So many runs are just trashed the moment this happens
I tried to guarantee the laser by dragging him to 73% and stop there until he does the laser.... but that is too much of a timeloss considering the amount of moves he could roll first before even deciding to do the laser. (it works btw, just too big of a time loss in speed context)
Side note: always prepare a knock up attack to gain you verticality as high as possible during his downtime between mechanics Because this fat fuk will decide to jump at literally any given time and laser the hell out of you 🦎 If he does so, and you don't have enough verticality from the knockup lead in and try to combo finisher him to gap close, you'll almost as good as dead due to the laser hitbox.
