Looking forward to see how you build this one James!! And maybe I can pick up some tips on how to build the other 7 Superbird’s that I plan on building.
Thanks Marty, I’m torn about whether to correct all of the atrocities of this kit or simply disguise them. I want to show tips that a novice could do as well as expert builder….
I thought I was sub to you. But I am now. Great update I am not a Mopar guy so I just learned little more about the Roadrunner. Looking forward to updates. Have a great week
Gonna build the same kit. Thanks for the insight. Love your extra decals. looking forward to seeing what you do. I'm going box stock as well. Maybe change the wheels???? I'll be watching
Thanks for watching Mike, good luck with your build. I have some ideas to overcome some of the clunky parts of this model. Let’s see how we can tackle them.
I’m still laughing my butt off about the negatives of your kit lol!! Looking forward to your builds James ! And the color on mine is still up in the air …….
Thanks for watching Fred! Part of me wants to glue the hood shut 😂. I’ll fix what I can with the things I pointed out but try to keep it box stock at the same time.
Looking forward to your version of the build. Kit prices are insane for the RR as I just found out, and I'm glad I built one years back, so this one I'm just going to spectate and cheer y'all on. Cheers!
This is DEFINITELY gonna be a fun series of videos coming up? Mark I believe is going to build a stock car out of his model? So, between the two of you it's gonna be really cool! Stay safe James...
Revell/Monogram and Round 2 have gotten better about gauge decals as of late, but back not so long ago you got 4 or 5 plate options and ZERO decals for the dash. It has been a head scratcher for decades. I recently opened an AMT kit from the stash ( I forget which) and the decal sheet floored me. There it was, 2 sets of licence plates on a 3x3 sheet. Nothing else....😫
Hey James! Great video! So Mark Batson selected this 70 Mopar and it seems you have your work cut out for you and I'm looking forward to seeing your step by step on this car.I know you're being humorously sarcastic about American kits and it reminds me of the last build off you guys did with the AMT 40 Ford, you calling that kit some old ass !😣 lol!
Haha, that’s my way! I’ll treat each piece as if it is a model itself. There are only a couple pieces anyways. I’m tempted to cut it up but box stock rules cause me to be creative.
Hi Chuck, I have one of the Johan 69 Roadrunner kits to build someday. The body, hood and bumpers are probably all I’ll use and the rest replace with newer kit pieces. Thanks for watching.👍
Welp.....not shooting mine Panther Pink now. 😝 The 1/24 scale size irritates me as well, but it is what it is. I don't like the wheels and tires either... In fact, your top 10 kit dislikes pretty much my dislikes as well.
3:25 you’re not alone in that annoyance towards kits without gage decals. It always annoys me how there will be kits with near perfect decal sheets and then not have interior decals.
Great car and Great kit, needs some fixing but by far not the worst kit ever made. There's a few oversights by the casting makers that need correcting but the kit goes together smoothly once you figure the 3 big ones out. In the end the Kit builds up to a Beautiful car! Apparently this guy thinks this a replica not a model kit, though I confess I've never seen any kits this guy has designed so who knows how far is perfection assumptions go. BTW No not all American kits are 1/25th scale, that came much later when the price wars reduced our beloved kits to smaller cars to save a few pennies in production. Monogram, Revell and others were doing 1/24th for quite awhile.
@@ScaleModelExperiment Sure it is, it's just what we always called the Labor intensive Kit. It has it's shortcomings and is not just "Plug-n-Play", in the end though the car looks amazing. I agree though it's not the best even for it's age but if you Love Roadrunners you'll make it work, just lots of elbow and knuckle grease ;)
This video is pure sarcasm, I nit picked facets of the kit that I plan to improve in the building of the model.

Great video. Looking forward to seeing you build it. Rick 😎✌️
Thanks for watching Rick! I appreciate your support 👍
Hi James - great video! Looking forward to seeing how this turns out as I have the exact same kit.
Thanks Sean, I appreciate you watching! Good luck with your build.
It is what it is! Thanks for sharing James. 😎🇨🇦
Yes it is! Thanks Peter for watching👍

Thank you Capt Nemo. I’m happy to have you in the group. Let me know if you like any other videos I’ve made.
I enjoyed your take on the kit, and look forward to your stunner of a box stock build!
Thanks so much for your support! I’ll do my best 👍

Going to be a nice build. I have used those wheels on some of my older 78 Dodge Monaco police builds, they are perfect.
Thanks for watching and commenting David. I appreciate your support.
lol cant wait to see this build looking forward James .🤪
Thanks Deen! I appreciate your support bud 👍
Those are much better decals then the other guys have in their kits. I can’t wait to see your build!
Thanks Ruckus! I dug deep in the parts box for those decals. I’m glad I had them.
Cool I'll be watching James!
Thanks for watching Brother! Are you in on the build?
@@ScaleModelExperiment no I have to many builds that I have to do James

I agree Jeff, it’s going to be tough to stand out in this crowd of talented builders. I’ll do my best.
Nice pure sarcasm video, James.
Nit pick #11 - finding out you are missing parts in the kit 😂😂
Thanks Brother! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Are you in on this build?
@@ScaleModelExperiment I probably will be in on the build but not at the moment. Everything is in boxes and I’m moving to a different room.

I know Robert, I’ve seen my share of crappy decals sheets too! They are doing much better these days with the newer kits. Thanks for watching 👍

Hahaha I’m glad you liked my nonsense humor bud. Thanks for watching👍
LOL James I have the GTX and the parts are almost a mirror image .
Thanks Muchkin! The GTX does have the bucket seats though… I’ll fix most of the issues with it in due time.
The kit does have the common Revellogram issues, but I remember when the only Road Runner kit was made by JoHan ...

Should be a nice build and don" t forget to raise the front bumper as well it sits a little to low on the kit👍🏽
That’s a good point Curtis. I’ll be assembling the kit in white glue to check for stuff like that along with stance. I appreciate your support bud 👍
I agree with all of your points!
Haha, thanks for watching bud 👍

wayment ... who picks the picker ?
I wish I was the picker for sure!
Such a Whiner about this Kit! Build it B5 Blue, cannot post Picture, but you know which I one I mean!
Haha, I know this guy that has one just like that and his name is Kevin too…. Coincidence?
HHHHHMMMMMMMM 🤔🤔,,,,,,,,,

lololo
Can't have an open diff one a Roadrunner.😂
It's the worst kit I ever tried to build. Nothing fits. Extra water bottle where the horn should be: it's a Roadrunner! BEEP BEEP! No horn.
Please watch at least the final video of the build series. You’ll be amazed at how just some basic skills can make for a nice model.
You complain... change it,adapt to it...
Did you watch the rest of the videos? I certainly did!
