@@littlerudy87 No, I can't really think of any. I didn't have any problems with any of my build. It was my 1st build also. Just take your time, enjoy, and good luck on your 1st build. Actually, now that I think of it, make sure you install all the files on the included Asus USB stick when you're finished. I had problems installing Windows 11 because I totally forgot about the USB stick. (1st build)

@@NesifoXthe motherboard comes with a USB stick that has all the necessary drivers. This is important since I presume the issue the guy had when installing Windows 11 was that it was missing the ethernet/wifi drivers. So make sure when installing windows that you choose “load drivers” option in the “Windows Setup” process

MSI Z790 ACE is way superior to the ASUS Z790 Hero.
Reasons:
1. All PCIe Slots are reinforced.
2. PCIe Gen5 M.2 slot integrated into motherboard while providing 16 complete Gen5 lanes to the top PCIe slot.
3. Dual onboard 2.5 LAN ports.
4. Dual BIOS feature.

@@Alharbi-lf3ss If you are buying the motherboard to build a system that will be left untouched for a long time without frequent updates, go for the MSI. Especially those Dual BIOS features will become handy if those new DDR5 DIMMs cause problems during POST or boots. Moreover, if you upgrade the system frequently, go for the ASUS, those GPU & M.2 quick-release functions would be very conducive.
I feel like it's better to skip the motherboards of this generation. The upcoming next-generation motherboards would include all the bells and whistles like Gen5 M.2 integrated into the motherboard, increased RAM stability and support for higher RAM speeds, the new Wi-FI 7 networking, Displayport 2.1 & HDMI 2.1, may also include a potential upgrade to 10GbE interface. Most consumer switches don't support multi-gig speeds like 2.5 & 5GbE, rendering those current 2.5GbE ports useless, bottlenecking them to typical 1GbE speeds. I hope this advice is helpful.

@@AnuragTulasi I agree but I got a 2-month break within 2 weeks, I also heard there was going to be a Raptor Lake refresh meaning the 14th gen is probably only going to be released q1/q2 2024 alongside the new mobos. I might cheap out get a tomahawk and call it a day or spend big on the ace and not upgrade. I am getting an I9 so I don't think I'll have to upgrade anytime soon tbh. Fast ram speeds are a thing I want to get my hands on, I was looking at 2 dim itx boards for better memory controllers and the only 2 I'm considering are the Z790I Strix and the Z790I Gigabyte both companies have horrible after sale support and rumors about the Z790I strix going dead within a few months so idk I might just go with something tested like the tomahawk or the ace I don't like the carbon.

@@Alharbi-lf3ss Go for the cheaper Tomahawk one for now. Get that i9 & high speed memory DIMMs too, but, run them at lower speeds as that low end motherboard may not support such high speeds. After the next gen mobos arrive, go for the ACE or HERO. But, supporting of 4 DIMMs at high RAM speeds like 7200 or 6800 even on 14th gen mobos is a dilemma.

I got one of these, I like it, it’s great, but mine came with a broken ram slot or something, if I use all 64 gb I get an amber light but with just the 2 sticks it works, returning it and getting one that works, other Rhyan that there’s no an issue

If you want white build. Get Strix x670E-A
If you want overall good get x670e hero
If you don't care about money get x670e extreme (only asus x670e board with has a backplate)
Now if you want backplate but any brand ok. You can buy MSI X670E ACE. Has backplate and overall more classic looking board. No RGB though.
Now if you really want backplate but u want only asus.
You could go for Intel idk.
