What you have to remember about them is when they all come together they have to be able to perform, sing/ rap these lyrics, so it will sound... idk a lil mainstream but just a LIL but still sound good. The XTAPES and VOX are for people who really appreciate/understand Rap-R&B, and it's them pushing themselves bc English is their 3rd language. And if you want an idea of how they write "Show You Can" With Maya/Cocona, who have writing credits is a good place to start. They are still perfecting their craft so its only going to get better and i have no doubt that people will appreciate them more when they are able to full express themselves in English, but for now this already exceeds my expectations. You also have to remember that they are all really young i think i saw/read somewhere that you don't really come into you voice until you're 25ish? And the oldest member(s) are 22. Watch their Xtra Documentary Series and you can see why they top tier. After a large search of 1000s of applicants, it got dropped to 21trainees, then from then you got these 7 after 5 years of training. They trained in everything to learn how sing while dancing. Also note that they are singing in their non-native language. Check out Winter Without You - First Take and you'll hear the vocals.
I don't think you have an understanding of K-pop, jpop, or global pop stars. These girls went through 3-5 years of training being chosen out of 100s of girls. Also, they all started as singers!! You have yo look at how they started and chosen it was no joke.
In Maya’s solo rap in their tape series she had a line that said “I spit like this but look like that, to some of yall it must be a complicated complexion” So I recommend you listen to their tape series to see that they’re legit. Also they are “radio ready” because most artists out in Asia don’t just get raw talent and push them out but they make sure they are polished in their craft and ready for the pressure of life in front of cameras before they debut. You can be the most talented mofo out there but if you don’t have the mentality to sustain it, you won’t get a chance to debut. So not only are they radio ready, but they are built to handle all the pressure that comes with the fame.
These girls studied the culture and put in the work on vocals and dancing for 5 years before their debut. There vocals are legit. Even there choreo goes hard. Listen to there "First Take" performances if you don't believe there vocals.

If you like XG, I have a music video I'd like to recommend to you. It's "What's Happenin'" by PSYCHIC FEVER! They're a Japanese group, just like XG. Their aggressive Miami bass sound has a strong 2000s flavor. Can you imagine them performing in tight A BATHING APE hoodies? One of the members is half Nigerian, and his voice is amazing.
No cap I think a lot of rappers sounded artificial and just got plugged in. I also know a lot of um really lived a certain life. It’s more about the art of it all and creating things people can enjoy. Before you continue to react to their songs, you can check 3 things. First is, one behind the scenes video of their music videos, possibly Howling. It has 2 BTS videos. Second, 1 of their vlogs, see them in their "normal form" so to speak. And third, their documentary. I think the documentary can enlighten a lot of things. However, it is a hard watch let me tell you. At least this is my suggestion :) Also, please ignore the weird comments. There is literally no need to engage. XG's fanbase is pretty different from any other groups you might know or listen to. Most musicians have fans from their own country only. You can barely find 2 XG fans from the same country if they are speaking English. They are all spread around. Ofc their biggest fanbase is in Japan(around 30%) since they are Japanese but they dont linger in the English speaking side of the internet. Also, XG's fanbase is on the "older" side of the norm. Most asian groups,especially kpop groups, most of their fanbases are teenagers or young adults. XG fans are generally older. Also, most people experience this kind of "fandom" for the first time myself included. I have listened to rap music my entire life and im 32. I made rap music myself. The last time i liked a 'celebrity' this much was when i was 16. I never understood the "famous people" love, crazy fans, admiring them etc. This is the first 'celebrity' group of people i like this much. Ive been following them for more than 2 years and i really like them a lot. It gets deeper the more you get to know them. They have great personalities, great talent and also they are really hard-working. They kinda 'force' you to like them :) so i understand why people are so defensive etc. Especially since XG neighbours K-pop which has crazy fandoms all over.

Also they are “radio ready” because most artists out in Asia don’t just get raw talent and push them out but they make sure they are polished in their craft and ready for the pressure of life in front of cameras before they debut. You can be the most talented mofo out there but if you don’t have the mentality to sustain it, you won’t get a chance to debut. So not only are they radio ready, but they are built to handle all the pressure that comes with the fame.

It must be hurtful for the young girls to hear this after 7 years of hardwork (5 years trainging + 2 years artitists) to just be called them and their music as "artificial". But I do respect your opinions as each of us has one. This song is specifically for a shooting video game Valorant so lyrics/contents may look a bit off if you don't know the info. Just sad for them to see some reactors brushing them off and I believe you guys are not one of those. I believe that you just can't believe or accept for now that some asian young girls are doing this things at a level you don't expect. If you like XG, I have a music video I'd like to recommend to you. It's "What's Happenin'" by PSYCHIC FEVER! They're a Japanese group, just like XG. Their aggressive Miami bass sound has a strong 2000s flavor. Can you imagine them performing in tight A BATHING APE hoodies? One of the members is half Nigerian, and his voice is amazing.

No cap I think a lot of rappers sounded artificial and just got plugged in. I also know a lot of um really lived a certain life. It’s more about the art of it all and creating things people can enjoy. XG's fanbase is pretty different from any other groups you might know or listen to. Most musicians have fans from their own country only. You can barely find 2 XG fans from the same country if they are speaking English. They are all spread around. Ofc their biggest fanbase is in Japan(around 30%) since they are Japanese but they dont linger in the English speaking side of the internet.
Also, XG's fanbase is on the "older" side of the norm. Most asian groups,especially kpop groups, most of their fanbases are teenagers or young adults. XG fans are generally older. Also, most people experience this kind of "fandom" for the first time myself included.
I have listened to rap music my entire life and im 32. I made rap music myself. The last time i liked a 'celebrity' this much was when i was 16. I never understood the "famous people" love, crazy fans, admiring them etc. This is the first 'celebrity' group of people i like this much. Ive been following them for more than 2 years and i really like them a lot. It gets deeper the more you get to know them. They have great personalities, great talent and also they are really hard-working. They kinda 'force' you to like them :) so i understand why people are so defensive etc. Especially since XG neighbours K-pop which has crazy fandoms all over.
