I'm pretty sure the spirit pony in the orb is Night Glider, the Pegasus pony from Our Town who helped the Mane Six get their Cutie Marks back with Double Diamond, Party Favor, and Sugar Belle.
nearly every single implication of this different view is somewhat chilling. the eyes that told her to wake up(which may or may not have been her own), the shattered orb off to the side of ghostlight shimmer, the fact that ghost shimmer seems to have lost most of her memory, alongside the hostile ghost-like pony in the dark orb, there are cutie marks of ponies from ponyville(i think i recognized snails' cm and silver spoon's cm), how Our Town is overgrown and abandoned by the living, and finally how the dark orb in the basement seems to be able to steal the cutie mark of the pony inside it. im worried and excited about what comes next
I would have watched this when it came out but I put it off and then kept forgetting to watch it till now. The ghost designs matched with the music make me think of ori and the blind forest and I love it.
Hm, looks like we've got a brand new animation style? I wonder how many years passed, as Starlight's village looks completely abandoned and inhabited only by pony ghosts (?) and trees that spread to every fragment of soil, even to the main street.
Those are Cute Marks, Im not sure of what happen exactly but Im like 85% that they get free of the "orbs", because if you look carefully when we see Starlight she is next to a broken orb and in the end of the video you see that the pony in the black sphere is transformed in a orb.

The timeline bonus shows different view of time as the most recent event and in that there's a short view of starlight's bandaged body in trixie's wagon and this shows starlight's lab in ruins which tells me that this is after all the other different views so far.
Starlight was distilling the cutie marks of ponies in her village out of their spirits... So was she killing them in the process? Did she slaughter her entire village? Anyway, so something we don't know went wrong and now the village is both haunted and abandonned.

It depends if she's doing so by force(while it does seem that she fought against someone who they seemed to have been sealed in an orb, could've been self-defense and her ambitions that made the decision for them, though it seems she's done the same to herself, potentially being after the world seemed to have died out entirely at the end of the second season)
I don't know about that but I think it's something else like maybe a piece of "multiverse starlight glimmer" was inserted into "different views of (insert something here) starlight glimmer" and it caused "different views of spirits ghost starlight glimmer" to be created basically. :/

Because the first time I watched his reaction I didn't know what FoE was so when he pointed it out this time I was like how did I not notice this.

you could make a My little pony movie with happy tree Friends with celestia and luna in 20 years tired of retirement wanting to be princesses again traveling to the other side of the sea discovering that there is an Equestria for two discovering the world of happy tree Friends seeing a castle in the city and discovering that the one who rules there is the good shadow king from the mlp comics and that his friends are the characters of happy tree Friends, and there the villains would be neozor and Big BOSS and that they have a army of purple bears and that they are the mane 6 of the future and that neozor and Big BOSS pretend to be their friends by telling them that celestia and luna were planning to become princesses again, and telling them that the shadow king was alive and that he was thinking of retiring and give their place to celestia and luna Twitlit and her friends travel to happy tree Friends just the day they were planning her coronation when they realized that she was coming they canceled her for her presence only until go just try it, I'll just give you an idea and I open you with a lot of respect but only test in this

I don't think it's just stealing their cutiemarks, I think it's trapping them in the orbs. I think starlight was released when her orb shattered.
