The X3 system is the hardest workout I have ever done. The difference between the X3 system and traditional weights is that you go full repetitions and then you do partial repetitions. You keep going and you keep moving as long as you can, finally you hold it as long as you can. When you do all that, your heart will be racing like you just sprinted. You will never get that same feeling when you lift weights.
I've been using the X3 system 4 days a week for about 6 years now, for around 10-12 minutes per session. I will do one day a week with dumbbells, bodyweight, and heavy water jugs. The X3 system works, and works very well. I always get compliments about how "jacked" I look. One of the best investments in fitness I've made.
was your study published and if so where? I would very much appreciate looking at the specifics, particularly the number of participants in each cohort, length of study, training age, and length of the study
I can't do the standard protocol in 10 minutes. Perhaps actual time exercising ya... but I am so winded I take 4 minutes rest in between each exercise standing on the GHA catching my breath. Outstanding piece of equipment...

Great information!
I've been using X3 for several years now and I will never go back to free weights.

Link has been added to the description. Abstract was posted in the ACSM annual Congress issue

Can you post the actual paper. Would like to read.
So the title of the book is in fact accurate..... "Weight lifting IS a waste of time"
What was the result of the Mike Mentzer study vs X3? Did he leave that out or did I miss it?
He just didn’t talk about it. I read his presentation, and it still had decent results, but it was the least of the three
