Good ol day way b4 Sumiya, Miracle, Dendi, there was this guy called Grimorum, who inspired me and a lot of other players to play Invoker even before invo was popular
I would like to thank you for inspiring me to play this hero since 2010 I saw your replays on playdota and whenever I feel down or feed I always find myself watching your replays and videos. god bless - kai
I've seen Raging Fury 1 a loong time ago and forgot about. Am very glad that I came across this one. Amazing gameplay AND editing. Good job to both. Definitely Liked, Subscribed and telling my friends about. Keep up the amazing job!
I remember when Dota 2 came out and i was not eager to play it at all since Dota was my life but after watching this video i was like my god wtf did i just witness man watching it now is kinda makes me happy that i switched to Dota 2 and now i have cancer from all the pinoys that i deal with in SEA. All jokes aside this video was my inspiration to play Dota 2 and Invoker and ty for making it and i hope you make even greater contents for this game that we all love so much.
What I find most impressive about his gameplay is his ability to recognize when an ability is off cooldown. It never seems like he has to pause because he invokes something that is still cooling down. Anyone can invoke skills quickly, but to invoke them at the right times can be rather difficult.
2 things i love with grimoriums invoker are his almost perfect casting of every spell at a given condition and how he always know that the spell he is going to use is already in cool down. Well, i can understand after seeing you play above 1.2k games of invoker in dota 2 alone.
This is why I've wanted to learn Invoker. I've noticed a lot of similar patterns in the casting, and that's all I ever figured it was! Knowing which way to roll your finger across the keyboard for certain situations, practicing that and the situational spellcasting will come near naturally. Well, this is how I assume it. I'm starting my practice tomorrow.
WWhat I really like is the hidden images representing thoughts/next moves of the invoker.Seen em?Numbers 1 and 2 whne he is about to cast 2 meteors, arrows to indicate he will move to dodge the hook etc.Great work helical
love the moment at 8:32 music playing then suddenly stops, here comes the sunstrike "BAAM" then the music continues playing good job matching the timing :D
Nothing special here, plain average player. He can only use 3 spell in a row, while the rest is after the 2 second ultimate cd. A real Pro Invoker is someone who can cast 6 spells in a row, Before the 2 sec ultimate cd for more spells. Tornado > EMP > Type in 2 new spells (Meteor + Blast) while they are still flying > Use M+B when they are dropping from Tornado ...next step is refresher > M + B again
Long Le Anh Your lost, here let me explain. Remember this before I explain how it happen: >Tornado last 2.2 sec (2.5 by adding the rising and falling) >There is no Global CD on Spell. Animation only Delays the Effect >Kael has ZERO #Casting animation that delays any effect (Don't get confused with #Spell animation, that's different). Here's how you use a 6 spell combo Take Note: #Hold Shift BEFORE pressing anything and NEVER LET GO >Make tornado 1st then EMP (or sunstrike) >Have your orbs already set to meteor (while running around waiting for enemies) Combo: 1st Use Tornado 2nd Use EMP or Sunstrike 3rd Set your Orbs to Blast 4th Use Ultimate ~>Enemies would just be dropping down from the Tornado 5th Use the Meteor and Blast combo 2x with refresher #OR Hold Shift >F >D > R > Q > W > E Press R Then do the Meteor and Blast normally. You can macro it but blast will be pushing enemies even before Meteor hits the ground. In case you don't really care, Do this Hold Shift F > D > Refresher > F > D
Long Le Anh Theory? what I said are "Instructions". You said its impossible cause you don't know, So I explain how its done. You clearly don't use nor know how #SHIFT key works. It lets you program a specific rotation in-game on real-time. This means you need to press the buttons simultaneously and it will do the action automatic. If you still don't understand, #SHIFT is a button on your keyboard, go look for it. #SHIFT is also synonymous to #MACRO . Not sure what your trying to point out since it doesn't make sense. You don't base min/max thru other players experience, instead its done with your own experience and skill level. You DONT have their skill level so don't base your own judgment as if you are those people. I am plainly sharing my own knowledge so don't be so insecure. I already told you, tornado last 2.5 sec (2.2 minus the rising and falling) while the ultimate cd is only 2 sec. If you macro Tornado with your ultimate, then its instant. You got 2.4 sec to do something else. here's another variation I made easier since the complete version seems impossible for you Hold Shift > Tornado > Ultimate or Hold Shift > F > R This will give you instant Ultimate just as Tornado went off. This means you got all the time doing something else while their Flying. You consumed only 0.1 sec doing this and you got 2.4 sec waiting time. I'll Give you a way to understand how #SHIFT works: >Pick Morp on a single player no enemies no allie game >Type in -WTF >Type in -gold 99999 Buy this items: Travels, Daggon, Euls, Scythe, Purge, Ethereal Blade Send a courier for vision on Roshan Stay at Base then Do this Hold SHIFT and don't let go > Travels to bottom tower >Click Euls on Roshan > Click Purge on Roshan > Click Ginsu on Roshan > Click Blade on Roshan > Click Wave on Roshan > Click dagon on Roshan Then don't press anything else. You will finally see what I'm talking about when I said #SHIFT or #MACRO . All of those items and skill will be #AUTOMATIC and all you need to do is wait. Just wait and do nothing else nor click something else.
Long Le Anh Who said without scepter? My point from the beginning was the 2.5 sec cc of tornado as the wait time for the ultimate. How are you missing the point so badly. Ultimate cd is 2 sec while tornado last 2.5 (2.2 minus rising and falling) so its logical what I have been saying has scepter. Don't bring out Dota 1 on our topic, I played the game since there is only 1 Tavern. An estimate 15+ years of Dota 1 experience is what I have. Why so insecure about what's ideal and the not? I am plainly sharing knowledge aka a normal conversation. You are forcing your own ideals to others which makes everything you say invalid. There is nothing bullshit about a normal sharing of knowledge aka normal conversation not unless YOUR a none social who is not interested in anything rather than your own. ...while clearly proves your a none social, why are you even here?
tsUki Nope, 2 spells are already in your bars while the 3rd one can be set while you run around. Most heroes have 4 active spells and Kael's 3 spell combo is considered a 4 press mechanics which makes him the same. Its simply: D > F > R > F OR D > F > R > D Depends on which 3 spell combo comes on the skill slot. As I said its plainly 4 buttons which is no different from your typical Q > W > E > R Which is present on most heroes.
I don't really know if this player is actually good or not in proper games. To be honest, this video has pretty standard Invoker skills for anyone that's used the hero enough. Lets see this realistically; almost every play was a standard combo used from an unimpressive angle (aka catching the same two average teams offguard rather than self-positioning for it). Tornado->Meteor->Deafening blast->Ice wall; or Euls->Sunstrike(EMP). I mean, that's the basic use of this hero right? Like the plays were so 'standard' that you could see his combos whiffing here and there; or spells just being cast out of reflex (ie. a few of the ice walls). There's a difference between knowing how to position yourself for real fights, etc; and just being able to use muscle memory to execute skills. It only bothers me because the video is clearly meant to claim that this is oh such a superb Invoker play, when it has no real thought put into the plays.
He has balls to blink high ground chasing a healthy hero, and if you pay attention nine out of ten spells actually hit and deal good effect, which is not so often seen. I understand that standard combo can be built into muscle memory (like at 7:00 he used qww wee qwe on the 3 pandas and a bkb riki, which did practically nothing), but the follow ups and subtle management of other spells are very impressive here. In addition with agh you should be doing nado->emp->meatball->blast->icewall/forged spirit/coldsnap/..., so you missed the emp.
Yeah, tornado-meteor-blast is a common combo these days, I do it but I don't put up ice wall at the end of it tho. To hit a good ice wall you need good positioning btw. I also first learned that combo from this video lol.
Invoker is a Hero balanced by its extremely steep learning and mastery curve. That only a handful of people can pull of plays like this is a testament to that fact.
Playing invoker is quite fun actually, if you're just starting playing him I suggest learning his spells 1st, then pick what role/build he's gonna go with. there's alot of tutorials and advices in the internet. Give yourself patience and you will succeed. ^^
Impressive invoker play, Just made all the macro's myself as well. Still trying to memorize them all but shouldn't be hard... I mean, WoW threw 24 hotkeys my way so 15 shouldn't be hard. Great Vid again.
The time has past, dota has changed but grim is still my senpai the man who showed me all there is to know, and i thank him for that.Your name will be forever inscribed in my gem!
Hey just wondering is you make more of these could you have like a mini skillbar/hero level icon some where on the screen? it doesnt have to be big or flashy just would be nice to see how strong the spells are for each clip, gives more insight into why he picked certain spell toinvoke at what order and into figuring out how much dps he knows he can deal etc. thanks :)
It's awesome that he's getting these rampages and killing the whole team and what not, but I think the process of already being like wicked sick before half of the fights where he's wiping the enemy team is more impressive than just showing off that you've done well enough to kill the whole team.
its not about remembering the skills, its about to know when to use them and which to cast next, and why. which skillbuild to choose vs which setup, and why, and lastly, the positioning. high level invoker is HARDER than it sounds. really..
umm agha with invoke at level 3 makes it have 2 seconds cooldown... so u can make combos like this. cast forge spirits, now invoke tornado and meteor. Now cast tornado and invoke sunstrike (it replaces casted tornado) then meteor. Now 2 seconds passed and tornado wears off and u can cast deafening blast, and probably follow it with coldsnap before it wears off 2 seconds later while forges and meteor dot will make it proc a lot...
there are many parts in this video in which he does not coordinate with his team as well as he should be. I noticed that a luna ulti and sk ulti did not put out nearly as much damage as they should have due to the timing of his Tornado
Nice ones man keep up the videos, one note though is that some of ur plays are not that precise I saw two times u missing meteor and blast in this video
well... check his account matchmaking is very high skill so he is matched with people that are relatively good besides - I saw some competitve invoker gameplays and its a team affort to allow him to farm, doesnt matter how skillful the other team is invoker will still be able to farm just like they allow there carry to farm, he will always be protected by his team that will do anything to give him that early farm
I just trained for an hour and a half memorizing spells and practicing pulling them off in less then 2 seconds, and then I watched this guy and realized that in comparison, I suck so much. Seriously though, he's a god.
One Million! I Never thought this day would come.
Great job guys
This is still the best one.

Amazing gameplay AND editing. Good job to both.

Kael The Invoker You don't even know Invoker's name. Hah
***** It's Kael but he changed it to Carl due to a hearing mistake when he signed up for a magic university. (Part of his Lore)
Any more questions?
Kael The Invoker 0/10
Invoker's name is not Kael.
***** Check the lore, believe what you wish, his name is Kael.

Hi.
I just wanted to congratulate the invoker player for his awsome skills, and the video maker for his godly editing skills.
Awsome vie !
1. Watch this video
2. Inspired

No offence Dendi fans, but Dendi's Invoker is shit compared to Grimorum!
I am a dendi fan and I totally agree.
Dendi's enemies are so pro, Grimorum's enemies are pro or nope ! i'm not Dendi fan, just my thinking
wow. when i play invoker every skill has cooldowns but when he plays it its like a barrage of skills. this is video is just awesome..
PIANO SKILLS
dota 2 has mad effects and graphics... can't wait to play it

love the moment at 8:32

good job matching the timing :D
Alch with no head?

Take Note:
#Hold Shift BEFORE pressing anything and NEVER LET GO

Combo:

Well grim is good not because he uses standard skills but he cast those skills perfectly...
5k MMR invoker player

Well, atleast the Video is over 2 years old and at this moment rlly nobody tried played Invoker and it was closed Beta if i rember right ;)
Yeah, tornado-meteor-blast is a common combo these days, I do it but I don't put up ice wall at the end of it tho. To hit a good ice wall you need good positioning btw. I also first learned that combo from this video lol.
i watched this over 20 times and its still awesome
It's a normal invoker, nothing special... and 800 000 views, bad joke for me...
liek if u cri evertiem
Invoker is a Hero balanced by its extremely steep learning and mastery curve. That only a handful of people can pull of plays like this is a testament to that fact.
April 2023 ❤ watching throwback vids.
Playing invoker is quite fun actually, if you're just starting playing him I suggest learning his spells 1st, then pick what role/build he's gonna go with. there's alot of tutorials and advices in the internet.
Give yourself patience and you will succeed. ^^
He's one of the best because of his unrivaled ability to cast the right spells at the right moment. But even pros miscalculate sometimes. So chill.
You can also, when casting icewall and for spir press the two keys f and g at the same time, saving some time casting
Yes, the music gets me so pumped to play more Invoker. :D
Nice gameplay, nice moviemaking, nice music, it's a great video!
See my skill build in my steam guide:

Nice invoker and edit's and nice play

thats some crazy invoker combos...
a Helica video....ohh time to get some popcorn
Impressive invoker play, Just made all the macro's myself as well. Still trying to memorize them all but shouldn't be hard... I mean, WoW threw 24 hotkeys my way so 15 shouldn't be hard. Great Vid again.
best invoker video ever made
Потрясающе, оч порадовала игра Muromirg'a, ни одного fail'a, Дэнди нервно курит в сторонке xD
The time has past, dota has changed but grim is still my senpai the man who showed me all there is to know, and i thank him for that.Your name will be forever inscribed in my gem!
My lord grimorum ♥️👍 2020 . I am fan from Perú.
Greatest Invokation in all world:D
impresionante... felicitaciones.. manos de oro el pibe
love how lion stole your kill with his ult on a 10 hp oom storm :)
Hey , this is nice video , but i like to ask you , what is the program are u using to capture the video ! ?
Hey just wondering is you make more of these could you have like a mini skillbar/hero level icon some where on the screen? it doesnt have to be big or flashy just would be nice to see how strong the spells are for each clip, gives more insight into why he picked certain spell toinvoke at what order and into figuring out how much dps he knows he can deal etc. thanks :)
this is by far the best one of the 6
After watching this video several times, and Purge's channel constantly...I finally realized megumixbear was the Windrunner.
Not 2012 anymore. Invoker got directly and indirectly nerfed several times, while other heroes got buffed.
It's awesome that he's getting these rampages and killing the whole team and what not, but I think the process of already being like wicked sick before half of the fights where he's wiping the enemy team is more impressive than just showing off that you've done well enough to kill the whole team.
1. Watched this video.
2. Picked invoker.
3. 2 kills on mid.
4. Won the game.
5. FUCK YEAH!
Epic video, best invoker
What video were you watching? I don't remember having a luna or sk in any of my scenes.
That shadow fiend at 4:15 made me laugh so hard.
its not about remembering the skills, its about to know when to use them and which to cast next, and why. which skillbuild to choose vs which setup, and why, and lastly, the positioning.
high level invoker is HARDER than it sounds. really..
Love the intro, Glorious ;)
One that is channeled through words and speech O_O GET IT ROCK?!
Great stuf, great editing.
Music is an art form whose medium is sound and silence.
umm agha with invoke at level 3 makes it have 2 seconds cooldown... so u can make combos like this.
cast forge spirits, now invoke tornado and meteor.
1:57 Meteor:" Well, fuck physics! I´m outta here!"
use the right spell in the right place, right time & right condition.. awesome.. :)
This is why I highly doubt anyone would surpass my 32 spells/items in the last battle scene.
2022 is here guys 10 yerars later
there are many parts in this video in which he does not coordinate with his team as well as he should be. I noticed that a luna ulti and sk ulti did not put out nearly as much damage as they should have due to the timing of his Tornado
Reminded me of the old days so thought I check how was Grimorium, and what's the scene for dota now?
Next gen dendi !
Buen video, me dio muchas ideas de como jugar con el invoker
,
its more about get 4 quas 4 exort at lvl 11 (1 wex at lvl 6), then max exort out then start with wex. and forget about quas till lvl 21
Nice ones man keep up the videos, one note though is that some of ur plays are not that precise I saw two times u missing meteor and blast in this video
Damn, that's only 3 days away :O. Who is editeting it? (sorry for horrible english :P)
well... check his account
matchmaking is very high skill
so he is matched with people that are relatively good
besides - I saw some competitve invoker gameplays and its a team affort to allow him to farm, doesnt matter how skillful the other team is invoker will still be able to farm just like they allow there carry to farm, he will always be protected by his team that will do anything to give him that early farm
my favorite heroes in dota 2 is sven and invoker.......i like your vids.......want some more....a lot to learn (master XDDDD)
u should show your spell bar, so you can see how fast u change etc, but really good video
