I had a friend in Dennistoun Glasgow who was dying of Cancer and as he was a lifelong Celtic fan his wife asked the club if it would be possible for Peter Grant to visit him for a few minutes in his home…..the following week Peter spent the whole evening with the family……it was an unbelievable occasion and years later I want to thank Peter for his amazing goodness and kindness…….
Great show. I always remember my older brother's talking about Peter Grant but my 1st memories of him was him lifting the Scottish cup in tears and that day will always stick with me , I was only 11 but being with my brother's made sure I knew how big a deal that cup win was. Again brilliant show
Met Peter on a London Tube on the way back from our friendly with Fulham, he was assistant manager at West Ham, I’m a West Ham supporter as well, wasn’t interested in talking about West Ham, his tactical knowledge about that Celtic team was mind blowing.
When you think of all the cheating, ebt’s, not paying tax, dodgy refereeing decisions across the city, it’s incredible (and sometimes amazes me) our level of dominance since 2000. 40 trophies in 24 years. Long may it continue. PS Peter looks amazing. You can tell he’s looked after himself
Remember when he came to our secondary school the old st Leonard’s and was brilliant did a wee lap around the pitch with the school and stayed and signed autographs until he was literally dragged out the hall , a Celtic man through and through 🍀💚
The plastic surgeon mentioned in relation to the Peruvian “boy David” whose face had to be completely rebuilt was Glasgow born Professor Ian Jackson from Canniesburn Hospital in Bearsden near Glasow….he and his wife took the young boy into their home and eventually adopted him and the family moved to the USA to live….the story is well documented in google under David Lopez Jackson…..
I'm a month older than Peter although I look a lot older but that's what happens when your paper round's in Basra, anyway I remember we drew St Aloysius in the Bishop Douglas Cup at primary school and we both were wee guy's with pure blond hair but that's where the similarities ended. I thought I was a decent player at that age 12, but Peter was immense that day nobody could get the ball off him, I played at centre half even although I was wee I could read the game well and could leap like a salmon. We lost 2-1 that day in a really good game but Peter was the best player on the park that day and although I was gutted at losing the game but it would've been a travesty if Peter had been on the losing side that day. I've met Peter a couple of times since then and told him about that game and he remembered it too. He's a class guy and very humble and I've always liked him even as a player and as a human being and God bless him and his family HH
My own preference would be that Di Canio is never spoken of or associated with our club. In any context. But that’s just a personal preference, not a demand 😂
It’s great this tour in America but when are Celtic going to go back to their roots and a wee close season tour of Ireland , remember where we came from , oh that’s right Lawwell and his cohorts wouldn’t be making filthy lucre with this tour if we done it , SHAMEFUL 🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️
We played Wolves in Dublin last season I'm sure. But I agree with your general point because I don't think we'd played in Ireland for about 10 years prior to that. Sadly, money dictates these things these days and we'll be getting we'll weighed in from our 3 game tour of the USA vs DC United/Man City & Chelsea. It'd be a bit easier to stomach if the club actually spent any of this money on the first team.

It’s now PC to embrace our roots, it might offend people 🙄

Sounds as if "Mojo" is taking flak for the lack of business acumen by the absolute clowns who ran Celtic at that point
