- Here are some interesting observations, glitches, and crashes in Paper Mario on the Nintendo 64, including time travel, cloned partners, and camera hacks. Some of these come from hacking the game, camera, or memory, but there are also insane things you can do by just playing Paper Mario on your console. Some of these observations also crash Paper Mario and result in softlocks.

The way Paper Mario was coded left a lot of interesting glitches in the game that players can exploit, including taking advantage of the game's collision properties to get out of bounds and traverse the map in interesting ways.
In this video, we start by investigating time travel in Paper Mario and the consequences of time travel. We take advantage of glitches like the famous Blue House Skip to travel time. The Blue House Skip allows a player to skip to Chapter 5 of the game. Combined with the log skip, a player can skip the ending of Chapter 1 and go straight to Chapter 5. Peach Warp is another interesting glitch that can be used to skip the Chapter 5 boss, most of Chapter 6, and all of Chapter 7. Earlier events in the game can update the game's story progress address to bring you back in time, and using later events, you can travel back to the future.
We edit values of addresses in the game's memory and explore what happens if we do things such as drop Mario's HP to 0, enter a battle with 0 HP, mess around a lot with the final boss, Bowser, and prologue Bowser, and find out if Bowser with the Star Rod really is invincible, and play as Princess Peach in places where you should be Mario.

There’s really nothing quite like the original n64 experience. There’s an issue one way or another with any emulation attempt.

Hey, I actually found a weird glitch in TOK (The Origami King). It happened randomly. I clearly selected the boots weapon after lining up the enemies but instead Mario used the hammer. Even the icon showing what action you're using had the boots icon, but also "hammer" written on it.
Oh wow that's really interesting, weird that that happened. I've only had stuff like that happen when messing with the game's memory

If Bowser was invincable at the beginig of the game he could be a one man army
At the very end I think he actually becomes invincible, but I'll have to do some more experimenting!
After watching Book of Mario (Paper Mario google translated) it's weird to see the original text or, anyone else feel this way

funn fact when i use cheats in the first fight to add hammer and jump boots the added items dont work except for the jump boots there just same as basic boots and them when i do a strike when he has the star rod it just shows emptiness cuasing a softlock
oh so red boots are basic boots so i guess jump boots dont work

Do you mean why are there two of Princess Peach? One of them is actually Princess Peach, the other one is Mario, but the game's memory was edited to make Mario play as Princess Peach, which normally only happens during the cutscenes where you play as Peach
