Your description of grits reminds me of Cream of Rice, more refined than Cream of Wheat. We used to have both when I was a wee tyke back in the late 40s.
Great vlog as always..I remember being on a long day trip to Grand Bahama out of Fort Lauderdale back in the 1980's and 5 miles out looking down to see a massive leather backed turtle swimming strongly just across from us..so keep a look out folks cos you never know
My wife and I looked at this ship.it looked expensive.so we just. Booked our first time on the oasis with a balcony. And we we sailed on the Mardi Gras .beautiful ship too. We can’t wait to sail wt oasis. Our next cruise will be Alaska next year .
Hi. I just discovered your channel. You’re very detailed! I’ve never been on a cruise so it’s been interesting watching your videos so I can know what to expect. Can’t wait for the next one!
Wow, I hadn’t realized how large this ship is! I’m happy to hear you are daring enough to travel and cruise alone, too bad hubster doesn’t travel, but great that it doesn’t limit your adventures. I watched your cabin tour and love the spacious balcony and room! Excited to see the rest of your experience! Thank you for sharing, Carly. Hope you get to relax on your sea days!
Awesome vlog Carly! Seeing this makes me miss my cruising days. It’s funny seeing windjammer cafe also makes me think, they’re all set up kind of the same way. Oh for that being your first time trying grits, that was a good explanation of it.. lol. Can’t wait for day 2!!
I LOVE YOU!! and your Mom. You are so entertaining. Have you thought of doing a video on what it's like to go solo on a cruise? I'm considering trying it and would love to hear it from your perspective . Keep up the great work.
Aw, thank you so much, Angie! I honestly love cruising solo because I can spend my entire trip focusing on what I want to do lol. Plus with cruising there's lots of other people who cruise solo so it's easy to make friends/meet new people :) I hope you give it a try!
Hi Anna! There's some good ways to prevent seasickness - I use Dramamine and I also use a patch that goes on the underside of my arm. The key is to take those either starting the day before the cruise or on embarkation day itself so that it has time to work through your body before you're on the open waters. Another thing to consider is the time of year/itinerary. Obviously sailing in the Caribbean during hurricane season is going to be riskier than sailing off-season etc. And lastly, choose a stateroom close to the center of the ship if possible and a lower floor which will help minimize the rocking. Hope this helps!
I *think* it is, but that could be incorrect. I was under the impression with the ultimate dining package you could choose certain places for lunch as well as dinner.
Hi Dilan, when I sailed in March of 2022, I had to have a negative Covid test within 48 hours of my sailing date and proof of vaccination (at least 2 shots). Since things are always changing, I would definitely check the cruise line website to see what their protocols are at the time of your sailing. Thanks!

Grits don't really taste like anything, but I love them. My Great Aunt use to make them for me for breakfast with eggs, bacon and biscuits.
Oh that sounds like it'd be good with eggs and bacon!!!
Thanx for sharing. Looks quite lovely. I always enjoyed being pampered. Enjoy your time. Karen
Thank you! You too!

Looks wonderful. Don't know if I would like the Southern food though
Me ,neither
You definitely would not have liked it lol! A lot of cheese and seafood haha.
Great review! I’ve always wanted to go on a cruise but afraid about getting seasick. Any tips to combat that?

Is the brunch included with the dinner package

What is the Cruise line rules with covid ? What stuff will be done or will i need to do or they do for me to cruise ?
You need to check Royal page for the protocols

Will u try hibachi in izumi?
Absolutely! Will try to get a reservation for the next time I'm on a Royal ship that has it :) They were all sold out when I went on Wonder, sadly.
Did you try the zipline??
No I was too scared to lol. You know how I am with ziplines 😂
My husband does not like to travel either.
It's a bummer sometimes, but hopefully you still get to go out and enjoy traveling!
@@Currentlycarly777 yes I do travel in May I take a cruise to Alaska
Why doesn't your Husband travel?😳🤔
He has some back issues that makes travel really painful for him :( Plus he's a really big introvert and just likes to stay home lol
Why doesn’t your husband not come? Does he not like traveling?
Correct, he is not a traveler *AT ALL* lol. He considers going to Target to be a big deal haha.
