When i was in high school (late 90s) we went to Houma Louisiana , my aunt lived there right on the bayou. Like it was right down the hill. They went to the bayou caught them all themselves boiled/steamed them, dumped them all out on the table, cooked corn and other things. It was literally the best thing. Haven't had crawfish that good since. Best experience ever

Stayed at an AIRBNB in NOLA during Mardi Gras and the host was having a seafood boil and invited us outside to eat with them and it was literally a dream come true. Best time with great people and delicious crawfish. 🥹 forever grateful for that experience.
We make at least 100 pounds when we make crawfish in TX or LA. That's what I wanted for Mother's day and my husband boiled 137lbs. Not one crawfish left uneaten!
