    Fabulous again Murray. I used to have a double hooped goretex bivvy from a brand called mountain range. It was utterly brilliant, spacious for a bivy too. I wish they still made them as they were unsurpassed compared to anything else I’ve ever seen, almost tent like, but bombproof and no condensation. The company went defunct unfortunately.

    • @ScotlandsMountains
      @ScotlandsMountains  5 років тому +1

      Hi Del, I think I remember seeing those - they look like a good mid way point between a bivvy and a tent - shame you cant get them from this company now :( would've liked to have given it a go

    Great video. Were you not worried about the deer walking on you? Camped in a wee spot by the river years ago and some hill ponies got far too close for comfort and caught in a guy line. Was worried it was going to panic and trample me.Felt i hardly slept a wink all night. Think I would have been very nervous in a bivvy with stags around. Well done.

My main walking hunting ground has been Snowdonia, peaks and lakes, but I now think I need to venture further north! You have a great way of narrating the videos and obviously spend a lot of time on your camera work. I’m going to work my way through your videos. Can I ask what you are using for audio? Hey Murray, I was wondering what boots you wear and whether you rate them. Mine have sprung a leak and recommendations are worth their weight in gold. Thanks.

      Hi Ian - I may do a Sunday vlog on this as I have been asked this question many times - however I tend to use my older winter boots for all other seasons ( when I replace them )... I have been thinking of getting some light 3 season boots for next year tough (too many things on the wish list!!lol)

    Hi, I'm climbing Ben Nevis in August and staying in Glencoe.
    What are the chances of seeing TheUNFATHOMABLE Edge of our Milky Way and/or Aurora Borealis mid August 2021 .. Pleasr, any help would make one man's lifedream a reality.
    One of my lifetime goals is to see both. I'm now 48 yes old, and thus might be my only possible chance till now

    Was that an exped schnozzle pump sack you where using ;) A great place to camp as always and not been for a while. Likely be one I do again when we get some good snowfall. The deer / stags seem to hang about that corner area all the time and go down to the Kingshouse for there breakfast :) Might even give the bivvy a go some time but already got a shed load of warm new winter kit to try as I hate the cold getting. Must be an age thing. Atb
