Going to the finals is the next best thing and that is why LeBron is the next best thing to Jordan.

    • @ThomasFromTN
      @ThomasFromTN Рік тому

This "He won only 4, lost 7 Finals" argument is childish. First - HE (LeBron nor Jordan) didn't win or lose ANYTHING alone. Second - disrespecting Winning 4...but losing 7 Finals...is like saying my dog isn't very bright because he only beat me 2 games out of 5 in chess. And - if you listen to Broussard's arguments on this...they are strongly fomented along the "Because I said so" (circular reasoning) lines of logic fallacy. He's entitled to his opinion, sure...but dismissing any other position as not credible feels pompous.

    • @cikakure19

@@ThomasFromTN it's a team sport, ofcourse non of them won alone, but the talk is about the best players ever, they were the leaders on the team, best players in the league, everything was around them. So the dog story was cute, but for me, not relatable to this topic. No disrespect to LeBrons 4 rings out of 10 tries and we are only talking about the finals. If you can't win the ring, going to the finals is the next best thing. And you can look at that how ever you want I know how it looks to me.

@@abbott360 And my point is, I criticize Lebron for his finals losses to, say, the Mavs and the 2014 Spurs.
But why am I supposed to do the same for 2018? When him losing 4-0 in the finals to the Durant Warriors after dragging his team there is a positive to me, not a negative.
Or for losing to the Spurs in 2007 in like his 4th year as the only all-star level guy?
Why am I supposed to praise Jordan for not being able to drag his teams to the finals outside of the 6 years with Scottie and one of the best coaches all-time? Was he not good enough the other years of his career?
Because that is what is often implied by the 6-0 or 'better to not even reach the finals' talk.
It's a positive for MJ that he won more finals than Lebron and won everytime he went.
And it's a positive for Lebron that he's made so many finals appearances, even with teams that really should not have been there.

Historically, Basketball fans give more credit for Finals Appearances than they give for Conference Appearances (ie, see Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Iverson, etc.). I've always equated those appearances to *silver trophies* .
Plus, I've put the exchange rate at a prohibitively high number (ie, 1 gold = 30 silvers; or 1 gold = 50 silvers).
This Nick Wright guy needs to chill with the exclamation.

I'm 42 years old and grew up on Jordan. I absolutely hate the 6-0 debate.
91 - Lakers without Kareem, Brian Scott and Worthy injured. Had they all been there and healthy, yes Bulls would have won anyway, but that was an easy ring.
92 - Drexler's Trail Blazers which was one of the dumbest finals teams I've ever seen. Terry Porter was the only player with a brain on that squad.
    93 - Suns were legit
96 - Sonics, no superstars for Jordan to face. Shawn Kemp ascends but isn't ready or smart.
97 - Jazz were solid, but Malone and James Harden are very similar. Great in the regular season players, playoffs choker. Back when people weren't afraid to says it, I was there.
98 - Same thing except the Jazz were favored and the bench was stronger. Impressive feat for Jordan as he got less help from Scottie that year.
Jordan is still #1 on my list but in the finals if he had to face prime Tim Duncan or the Kevin Durant Warriors he wouldn't be 6-0.
Or Put the prime Bulls in the 80's against the 87 and 88 Lakers, 86 Celtics and prime Detroit on your way to the finals...Jordan would still beat all of those guys...but he's not going 6-0. @ ME.
