SUCH great SCENES.Steve Burton is a great actor.All actresses that played Carly are Superb.My favorite is Laura Wright especially when Jason rescued Carly from Ferncliff oh and their wedding when they thought Sonny died.

Two thoughts. Carly has been played by three phenomenal actresses. Watching this I start out thinking no one could be better than SJB, then I remember why I came to love TB so much, then LW shows her stuff. I think that is unique in recasts. To have three actors that so embrace and embody a key character.
My second thought is that SBu was very underrated as an actor, particularly evident in his scenes with the Carlys and with Robin. His low-key performances were spot on. I think he got bored with the character from about 2010 on and it showed. But he was so good in all of these scenes.
lsd2772 I so agree with you. So many people like to compare all three of these actresses. All three are excellent and each brought a uniqueness to the character of Carly.
I am still attached to Sarah Browns Carly. But I agree that the three attresses are so talented and wonderful. it’s like I loved Laura as Cassie on Guiding light and Tamara as Ava on Days is pure magic. But Sarah to me is the Carly I fell in love with. Steve was so good back then. We just didn’t know how good it was. He took that writing and he delivered
I love them, they are so amazing together. I don't think their is any other friendship like it in the world. Their friendship is real love. They are amazing together.

I can see Carly and The Original Jason Morgan as lovers. I love when Jason took over for Sonny. Jason was so calm.
SJB was the perfect Carly for her early twenties. She was struggling to find her self. She was passionate and naive but loyal. TB was perfect for her mid 20's to early 30's. She was finding her self becoming independent, and more mature and still loyal. The third Carly just sucked. LW is perfect Carly for her mid 30's and on. She fierce, loyal, and knows what she wants. She's the all grown up Carly. All three were loyal and all three fit the Carly for the time in this characters life. And all three have chemistry with Jason just in different ways

Each Carly brought out a different element of the character. Laura Wright was such a different Carly. She was the grown up Carly. But since I didn't really watch the show regularly when the other actresses were on, Laura Wright really got into my head as the best but the first was the only one who could play some of the story lines with Sonny and Jason. She was a mess but she loved fiercely and to the bone. She played it to the line. That is what is so great about the character. The casting director really got it right with her each time. That is probably why they brought back one of them to play against Jason and the twin saga.

This is absolutely brilliant they are the reason I watch. Gh wasn't one of my foundation soaps but when I found it I was sold. I have seen TB and SJB in other roles where I've disliked them before coming to Gh so I dont really know about their part LW is my fav Carly. What I can say is everytime I watch these old clippings I know both women rocked plus if I had started watching Gh before any of them came in I would've always been a Carly fan I'm just a sucker for the head strong crazy actress. For DOOL it will and always be Sami, for Y&R Phyllis and B&B Brooke. Jarly all the way love the friendship.

All 3 actresses were great in the role but they all brought out different elements in their relationship with Jason.
SB played the dynamic with more angst as someone who wanted Jason but knew they could never be with him. Someone who still got butterflies when she was with him. There was more sexual chemistry.
TB played the dynamic as her best friend that she was dependent on his presence.
SW plays the relationship more of a sister/brother vibe where she is the instructive blunt little sister
Charles Coleman there were actually 4 different actresses playing Carly. The one before the current one everyone hated & caused a big uproar so everyone forgets about her. She was a horrible fit & a bad Carly.
Laura Wright has gotten more beautiful with age

start watching from TB she was great then they bought in someone else for a Short while when LW arrived on that train wow love her she is amazing and deserved an Emma years ago
Sarah Joy Brown & Tamara Braun were absolutely fantastic as Carly #1 & Carly #2 . Carly and Jason are favourites Characters I like on GH .

Steve and Sarah had the most incredible chemistry.. Tamara and Steve had good chemistry but I never thought he and Laura had any romantic chemistry.
I loved Tamara. She was awesome. But Laura is amazing!!!! Steve Burton was awesome as Jason! But I can't wait to see Billy Miller in action!!! New Jason and New Carly could make quite a combo! If the fates will let them!!!!!

Tamara B. and Sarah B. were very very good Carly's🤗🤗🤗🤗 and they both had great chemistry as lovers with SB Jason🤗🤗🤗🤗...but NOW (SB) Jason and (Laura Wright) Carly doesn't have that same kind of lovers chemstry as Tamara B. And Sarah B. had🤔🤔🤔... Only to me they both (SB Jason and LW Carly)have that deep deep friendship chemistry (The kind of friendship where she can lean on him with anything oppose to who's with at the time...Sonny Jax..whoever? ) 🤔🤔🤔🤔.. I actually thought Tamara's Carly was Sonny's Carly, I think Laura's Carly is just right for Jason. Laura's Carly ties all the different actresses together but she had to play the friend card, I still can see the romantic spark. ☺️ My Jarly 🤗
