Hi Chris, thanks for all of the videos. Your chronological arrangement takes the viewer through each and every stage of ACL surgery and rehabilitation. I had surgery on my left knee with a partially torn ACL tendon one week ago. There is already a feeling of self-transformation as I prepare to “embrace the grind” of rehab and leave behind the “woe is me” feeling of despair. As you have alluded to, life goes on. There will be other areas that will benefit from the intensity and focus that a well structured rehabilitation program will give the individual.
Thank you for the gift of sharing. Cheers

Thanks so much for your kind comment Dafydd - my videos don't get many views but if someone find's them helpful then I think it's worth the effort of making them.
You're definitely in to the hardest part right now and the hard work you do over the next couple of months will make all the difference.
Wishing you all the best with your recovery and thanks again.

      Hi Chris,
As you know, the road to ACL recovery seems to be a series of incremental improvements that generally push you in the right direction. I’m in week 6 now, the leg is only one or two degrees off being straight when extended and my knee flexion has been at 135 degrees for a week now. I am grateful to you for recording all of the highs and lows. In the very early stages I felt like I was stuck in a rut, I can only say that it was brave of you to keep the camera turned on. I can’t say whether I’d have been able to do that. Also, my injury happened while I am living in Japan so the language barrier has been an added hurdle. Now I I just remind myself of the quote “What doesn’t transmit light creates its own darkness”.
Basically, stay positive, keep busy, and have something to work towards. That’s my take on things.
I’d be happy to keep in contact with you Chris through a medium other than UA-cam if you were interested. A well trodden path is best travelled on by like-minded souls. Take care

Hi Chris, thanks for the video! It's really helpful for me. You are doing really well for 6 months! I am also 6 months now but definitely not where you are now..
Just out of curiousity, when you said you feel it day after exercise, what do you feel?
At times, i don't know if i over exert or i am not doing enough. It's hard and i am getting lazy too 😕

Thanks for the comment, I feel it both in the joint and the muscle - you want to feel muscle pain for 1-2 days afterwards as it means that you are working the muscle well. The joint pain is something that you would rather not feel, but its unavoidable after the surgery.
Push the rehab as hard as you can and you will hopefully have a strong knee for life.
      Good luck!

Hey Trent, kind of you to check in - yes all ok thanks. We’re a family of 4 now so I the UA-cam career has gone on pause for now I’m afraid - might start it up again when the kids are a bit older.
