I remember thinking "jeezus I am going to rek", I remember firing both groups at the same time and self-immolating immediately. That's what could go wrong :D Never went Nova again after that for some reason... .
I was pleasantly surprised when I first took this out a while back. Both in how fun it was and how effective it was. I didn't fully skill it out, so I left off cooldown to lower my heat per second. I was still able to maintain a rather steady stream of damage. Good times.
I recall several years ago running the energy shoulder hunchback, then i equipped one of the Battlemaster variants with the same loadout and an engine that made it go 85kph. Never got the chance to run it, but i wonder if an all medium laser battlemaster could be serviceable
That's an alpha of 40 you're looking at, which isn't bad with pinpoint damage. But, with something that's easily spreadable like laser damage or margarine is pretty low for an assault mech. I'd recommend adding a SB Gauss to boost that damage and give you something to fire when the lasers have you hot.
I play a very similar build to this replacing the regular meds for ERs. I prefer the extra range over the heat control but both of them are great and can really deal some damage!
Depends on what the ally does. Last game i had a Stalker in the team that just refused to move from a bad position, so i left him in the dust. He was last man standing with a whoping 228 damage done. If your ally is foolish or suicidal it's best to just leave 'em in the dust.
Ofc, I am about the ones where you like 10 times find yourself walking the same and being in eachothers line of sight taking turns not actually getting anything done. As he says thats the person to make contact with to make a team, thinking alike takes less words to sync but needs to get synched to work at all ^^
About the only way better with this is dropping a single ML and adding a 1ton AdvTC. Heat is a bit better, and its utterly savage in a brawl or pop-up fight the moment somebody loses all armor over a location. Baradul is sheer hell to fight if he's using one.
MWO folks- Do you want melee? I've been playing a bit of MW5 Mercs lately, and the melee game is pretty fun. My favs so far are an Archer with 4x SB MLs and SRM6x2 to open things up on the way in with dual heavy arena fists, and a Highlander with the Arena Supercharger for closing the distance at 100+ kph., a pair of MLs, 2x SRM6 ART-IV. an AC/20, and an assault battle axe that hits for 90+ damage per swing. It's slow, but every swing breaks a component or kills. Even without the SRMs, just the MLs and AC/20 with one swing of the axe kills most mechs from 100-0. Include the SRMs, and nothing is safe.
this is a confusing mech, don't be ashamed. A Black Hawk is a CLAN de-omnimeched Nova, but the ku version is an IS omnimech version of the Black Hawk. So it's like... re-omnimechified?

Reminds me of my old 8 Heavy medium laser Nova build, that Baradul featured years ago.

I feel as a "good player" when I keep being in the same spot as an ally througout a whole match, but it weirds me out as well ;D

Yes, this is the Black Hawk KU. That is why it has regular mediums as well.

It’s not no. It does look a lot like a slightly bigger Nova. The BlackHawk Ku is a 60 ton heavy whereas the Nova is 50, a medium mech.
