- It has come to my attention that we've sadly loss Demetrice Gillespie on January 1, 2019. Known for his appearances on Ellen alongside his twin brother Darius Gillespie, their nationally recognized group D2K, and dozens of viral gospel videos their father has posted of them singing on UA-cam since their pre-teen years, Demetrice was definitely adored by fans across the nation.
My condolences to the family and friends of Demetrice. I pray for your strength during this time!

This is something that still has me in shock... really touches my heart because I grew up watching them evolve into the young men they are today. I connected with them in another level because we’re all musicians... This is unbelievable and I can only imagine what it feels like to lose a twin... with that being said continue to RIP Demetrice and my prayers are with your family.

And I jus searched them up to see if they posted any new content and I jus discovered that Demetrice has passed. Watching that made me feel and think how beautiful you both were in the eyes of our Lord... how perfect, how pleased, how satisfied he was. Like the words, "Rejoice my King, in what you hear, and let it be a sweet sound in your ears."
Every time I am overwhelmed and seeking Him, I yearn for that cover, and once again I go to watch your guys' video and found out you have passed. My heart sunk deep as it could ever go, and I cried and cried... All that came to my mind was why why why....
