- Team Einherjar has released another updated Alpha demo for their fangame in progress, Mega Man ZX Genesis, so of course I have to play it! This update gives us another new area in a cave to explore, and also adds a new boss, the iconic Yellow Devil, with a new attack never seen before in any of its official incarnations!

UPDATE: In response to all the comments about the speed of the game, I just played it again without recording it, and it ran perfectly at a steady 60fps. So the problem is not with the game, it is with my computer.
So would you say that at 1.25x speed on youtube is closer to the actual game speed?

The game looks great! All the Biometal designs for Ciel are unique! My personally favorite being Model P. Love the Kunoichi type of design. Your doing great!

Currently everything looks sub par but with time this could turn out amazing. Glad there are people who still love Megaman (especially the x series) games. The development team for this fan made game should really consider visiting some old Megaman and Megaman x games and take some notes on level design. Everything from power up placement and enemy placement to aesthetics is very well done. Music also definitely needs work.
Yeah, this game is still in early Alpha, but I still see promise in it. I'm looking forward to seeing how much further they can take things.

Is more likely a test to see if Ciel is worthy to be Zero's successor. (no one knows if she still remember Mother Elf's origins & the Maverick Virus affecting normal humans) Yes, its a nostalgic trip.

This would be the continuation of the saga of zero but as ciel as protagonist and chronologically this happens after the incident of dr weil and the ragnarok station and as a prelude to the events of megaman zx and zx advent since in this adventure ciel would create the 6 biometals With the memories of X Zero Harpuia Leviathan Fefnir and Phantom using fragments of the ragnarok station that have the power and the regenerative ability of the armor of the dr weil since the dr weil fused his armor with the core of the ragnarok station during his battle Against zero in space and making the whole station in the first biometal that after their remains would be created the biometals by ciel and model W by master albert and master thomas
Huh? mostly true, except Model Ws is formed from what's left of the Ragnarok, these mass produced cones are Master Albert & only Albert. If the story focus before the 4 young Mega Men are Ciel, then they would've focus on Resistance/Guardians & friends & potential rivals Ciel had encountered.

I've heard of a lot of fan games, homebrews and hacks etc... But I've never heard of this one. Was great to get to see it.
I've seen and played plenty of Mega Man Classic-style fangames, and I'm sure Mega Man X fangames exist as well, but this is the first one I've seen in ZX-style. I've actually never played Mega Man Zero or ZX, but this game which was made to bridge the gap between the two series makes me want to check both of them out.
MegaMan Zero series and the ZX ones are fantastic MegaMan games, I really recomend you to check them out.

this looks like a really smooth running fan game, a lot of the animations are nice, the sounds are great too, I bet this could come very close to passing for an official game, the teleporting shuriken move looks a little confusing, does it always move up and down or is it able to be aimed?
I'm still exploring the mechanics of all the different Biometals, so I'm not entirely sure if you can actually aim Model P's teleporting shuriken or if you just have to wait for the line of sight to move where you want it. And yeah, I'm really looking forward to the final release!

The Shadow Devil? It kind of does, actually, complete with the random patterns for his pieces and transforming into a Wily Machine (or in this case a Wily Capsule).

As some have stated, gameplay's maybe... 1/2 to 1/3rd as fast as the actual ZX games gameplay. Might be worth working out the engine and removing any kinks to bolster the FPS about 3x the current.

It is Cool if This one got A Biometal that i really enjoy using even though it's not a biometal. X's Ultimate Armor could be a cool addition of Biometal. The Biometal Name Will Just Be Model U and Makes You Become UX. That will be cool and because i like the giga attack. But it only does stuff like Model X when Used just Different Look and Giga Attack addition and hopefully, The Giga Attack is infinite uses like X4, X5, and X6. Hopefully The Developer did it.

Yeah, I'm already looking forward to playing the final version even just from playing these Alpha demos.
I took more than 10 tries to finish this version of the Alpha, and just noticed you used the same strategy as me when fighting the Yellow Devil... That sucker is pretty annoying because dashing immediately after landing is not polished. He also shouldn't be invincible on Capsule form, it made me waste lots of energy believe I was just aiming too low when there wasn't even a hitbox to begin with.

It looks promising... The animation is bit off, needs smoothing out and the boss A.I. seems way too easy, getting stuck in a predictable pattern. The overall product though shows that effort has been put in, including new sprites and such so I have only high hopes for what they turn this into down the road.

It is Ciel. This game is being made as an interquel between the end of Mega Man Zero 4 and the beginning of the ZX series.

the music kinda ruins the hype. it all slow and steady. Sorta wish they can find the yellow Devil actual theme or maybe just use the black devils theme from X6.
Well, the game is still in early alpha development, so I'm sure it will improve as it goes on.

Black Devil's theme is badazz and would have fit better with the level's setting.

Too bad Capcom didn't make a bridge between megaman games(for example, we don't know what happened to zero after megaman zero 4 or what happened with original megaman).
Well, Mega Man 11 is coming this year. Maybe there will be a tie-in to Mega Man X in it.

i find it impressive they've actually spent some time making the other models do anything cool unlike the lazy job of capcom that made all models besides zx and hx useless on the game, at least models z,x,h and p seems usefull on this version, can't stomach the fact that all the others were pretty danm lame on the original zx and zxa games -.-
I've actually never played the Mega Man Zero or ZX series, but after learning of this fangame I kind of want to check them out now.
well i do like then but i think the last Z series fucked up bcz u need to get A and S rank to get the cool stuff, on ZX and ZXA is a metroidvania-like game (wich i consider a upgrade to the closed stage select u normally have with megaman), if u like magaman X series u will notice thw zx series have the x buster sindrome wich means the best one to use is almost aways X without any skills, even if u can change to other biometals after u lose X and unlocks ZX u have same thing happening, instead of having special shots like X or new combos like zero u have the other models like u saw in the game, each have a special mechanic but they are pretty useless for most part, model L can float underwater but normal atack becomes the slow spin atack(problem is u get locked in place when u use it), model f breaks things and have that punch(but is too weak to use), model P is the only model that can grab on things (but can't move, glad that developer changed that) throw shurikens that are weak and the fuuma shuriken (that would be pretty good if it took some itens like kawarang guy in megaman X since it comes back anyways), and model H that was the only one that had something going over model Zx because of the hability to dash up (wich is insanely good) and the float that were pretty good(defeated 2nd stage of last boss in the hard with that one) well the problem i see the dev tried to do better is making the other guys useful and i have to admit the model p shuriken teleport is both cool and useful too bad they didn't thought of it on either original zx and zxa series well even though i say this they are still pretty fun to play u just don't use the others for anything besides passing a part that would otherwise be impossible without then

To me, saying that it looks "worse" isn't much considering that I prefer Advent over any other entry counting the original, X series and even Zero series, especially when it comes to gameplay.
