He is the lead guitarist when they play live. On a lot of the new songs Billie only plays the chorus. Jason White is the lead guitar player and should be an official member.

Foxboro Hot Tubs was like Green Day + Jason but now Green Day has Jason, too. I love both band's and all of Green Day's side projects.
