I'm about to upgrade from a sprocket machine to a pinch roller machine. How good are they at keeping the vinyl square in the machine on a long job?

ive ran a 10 ft run with no problem , it seems to track good , i havent had any bigger jobs than that.

Thanks for that. We do a lot of cranes and the text on the boom of a crane can be up to 4mtrs or more long. We just need a faster machine now, also sprocketed vinyl is getting a bit pricey. I think we will keep the old machine as a back up.

Bob Bailey it runs fast and i think the vinyls are cheaper to buy then the punched stuff , pending on where u get it from , who do you buy your materials from

Used to use Graphtech in Nottingham, most recently used Sign Trade Supplies in Maidstone.

This is very helpful information. I was just using google to try and figure out why my GCC jaguar (similiar to the Puma) was burning up to much vinyl on the edges and your video totally answered my question. Keep up the good work.

Brilliant video for beginners like me :)
    Thank you very much!
I happen to have the last plotter shown in this video and i am looking for tips on how to insert correctly the blade and/or pen into the holder as I cannot find my MANUAL that came with the machine when i bought it 4 years ago! LOL.It is my first time using a plotter. I will look through the videos to see if i find these tips. Thanks in advance

Most people are using the GCC Jaguar IV 72", Graphtec FC8000 64", or DGI-150 60". If your cutting clear bra's or security film you will want one with more pinch rolles... Graphtec or GCC

Lol some people get upset because they bought a cheap cutter. All he said was very helpful and common sense to most of us but hey, who am I to say anything. Go buy wherever you want, I do.

  • @BananaConcoction

That's not strictly true, it depends what type of vinyl you are using.

I'm just starting my business and have a larger version of the Uscutter machine you just completely dogged out, I was looking to order from you guys but since your video was biased and far from helpful besides pointing out your favorite machine I think I'll shop else were, I think your video of maximizing vinyl usage is minimizing your customer base..

You want a vinyl printer for car wraps not a vinyl cutter.

so you won't listen to an industry expert with years of experience because you don't like what he says (and he wasn't even saying anything too negative). It'll be your loss. Maybe you'll change your mind after your cutter starts acting up.

Correct, he is completely wrong with the USCUTTER. All of the start and stop features in the software. And the reset button is protected by a blade offset to 0.25 which is also in the software. I can go into the X and Y postions and start cutting any where I want. So yes the only thing he said correct is about the track feeder having a blank one inch in the center where no track grip is present.

Good tips but useless! A few inches of material cost a few penny. If you can not afford that much of waste find another job!
