@@salahzulu7077 I'd say Joe Burrow was a generational prospect with his 60td season. I'd say there is a difference between being a generational prospect and a generational NFL player. Neither of those 2 are generational NFL players. Both arguably top 3 at their position currently but as far as it goes I would say that Mahomes, Brady Rodgers and Aaron Donald are the only "generational players" to play the game in the last 5 years
@@jtwk3400 I agree with you on that, there is a difference between the two, and Burrow is definitely one of the greatest qb prospects of all time, and he lived up to the hype so far (I hope he wins MVP and the bowl next year if none of my teams or favorite players win). Generational talent in my opinion is when a athlete is just so god gifted genetically with either their speed, height, and strength, that you can’t compare any of their contemporaries in their era to them. So I think guys like AD and , Jason Kelce because of their speed and strength, while using their shorter height as leverage , Calvin Johnson and Dk Metcalf because they were as tall as Dlinemen, strong as linebackers, and run like deer, Jalen Ramsey with the long arms and bigger size for a db is basically a new generation Mel Blount. Same thing with Derwin James who is a descendant of BAM BAM Chancellor and BDAWKINS. Saqoun, Vernon Davis, Gronk, and Micah all have a physical gift that a coach can’t teach their player unless there the same athlete those guys are which almost nobody is. But just because they are once in a couple years type of players doesn’t mean that they are the best at their positions. Tom Brady was not a ‘’elite” athlete at all but he was able to cut his opponents 1000 times because of him being a student of the game and his ability to remember sets and formations from years ago to combat present defenses, while also having a above average arm. He is a hall of fame winner though for sure
I was really hoping bowers fell to the hawks but I am happy with Byron. But as a UGA guy I really hope he does well and I know he is gonna be a problem
Brock is a generational player. Phenomenal football player and Potential ROY candidate . 2x Mackey only player ever this National Championship is bringing it from every angle and is a superstar!
I’ll be really happy when all the idiots yelling and screaming “you just drafted a tight end last year!” are gonna have to eat some serious crow, when Bowers develops into an elite-level player and it’s in a Raiders uniform. Those people have either never heard of a two tight end system before, or deep down, they were just mad that we got the player they wanted.
There really was hella people trippin’ off the Bowers pick. Raider fans included, a lot of them were wondering why we drafted him and didn’t trade up to get one of the QBs.
Lifelong UGA fan so Im certainly bias but Ive said since his breakout freshman year that Brock is that kid u went to school with that is so well rounded and elite at everything he does that it'd piss u off if he wasnt, also, so damn likeable. 😂 Everyone went to school with one of them, Brock is that guy×50 lol.
Brock is Kelce on steroids. It's not even close. Tom Telesco was thee best pickup over the off-season. Hands down. No more "reaches" on your first round pick. You need your first rounder to hit; big time. Brock will do that...and then some.
Too early to say Bowers is Kelce on steroids. Kelce is a HOF. Bowers has yet to play a snap in the regular season. Bowers has a lot of potential but he is no where near a finished product and we haven’t seen how he will adjust to NFL defenses scheming to stop him. Gotta pause on the comparisons right now at least until Bowers plays 3-4 years in the league.
Telesco doesn’t have a good record in the draft, free agency, nor in hiring coaches. According to data by PFF, Telesco is ranked 4th worst in drafting during his tenure with the Chargers.
- Chargers have a losing record during Telesco’s tenure - Chargers finished in 3rd or 4th place in their own division 7 times during Telesco’s tenure - Telesco never once traded down, whereas many GMs have found success in doing so. - poor drafting by Telesco resulted in a lack of quality depth during his tenure with the Chargers - less than 10 players Telesco drafted signed a 2nd contract - Telesco traded back into the 1st rd for a LB which is very questionable to begin with let alone it being Murray, who wasn’t good from the get go - Chargers accomplished very little during Telesco’s tenure - Telesco is one of just two GMs not to trade down during his tenure with the Chargers - according to data by PFF, Telesco is ranked 4th worst in drafting during his tenure with the Chargers
I like Bowers just fine, and I would have loved for my team to have drafted him, but on multiple plays in these highlights he was basically uncovered by the defense.
*BMJR* = Byron Murphy, Junior (MIN CB) I've already given the coveted nickname to a current youngster. So, I think that this new guy (SEA DT) is perpetrating.
I like a Gets. He came from Green Bay and is highly endorsed by Aaron Rodgers. A pee wee player could play QB in that system and succeed. Trust me. GB has third stringers playing like Hall of Famers in that system. Unfortunately, for Lukey he was saddled with the incompetent Justin Fields, who nearly demolished his career.🤣😂🤣
@Tusamiii Think AOC looked steadier. Minshew for the spectacular plays, was 6/12 but AOC was 7/9. Do want to see Minshew start this week so we get a better idea of who's earned the job when I head out to Vegas this week!
Mina is smarter and more qualified than most other analysts on air. Her podcast is great too. Haters are typically either niners fans or generic little boys that don’t think women belong in football. No need to hate on her success, Marck.
um yeah yeah yeah blaah blah blah old raider fan here i believe it when i see jeez Look we kept Carr for a decade and blew chances to get a guy and this isnt it. lol. The raider need years to rebound after insisting on keeping carr for a decade. Yeah it wasnt carrs fault but its all Joe Bidens is what i here from knuckle heads around the nation. dmb and really dmber is what the Raiders org an fanbase has turned into if im being 100. Yawn....fan since "74. You wanna know how many TE's we;ve been through? Legendary like Todd and Ghost, to awesome like Zack Miller (before Hue Jackson).....then there was Ethan Horton, Rickey Dudley, M. Rivera! This guy is a college boy, hasn't taken one NFL snap and you people are wetting your pants?
Well then what does bowers have to do to earn your football respect? Shoot lighting bolts out of his bum? I’ve watched since his day one at UGA. He is that kind of impact player. Hands down. Now, it takes a team to win games. It’s take a dang good defense to win championships. Brock very well could be that big play difference maker. Fan since 74? Raiders? Doesn’t seem like it. Bc if you were you’d be happy w that pick. He’s just built different but hey arm qb it all you want to. I believe in the young man bc I’ve seen it with my own eyes. He’s a problem for defenses. So when he’s not making big plays it’s probably bc they are scheming him in dbl coverage. I predict he will have a great season until teams figure him out. At that point other weapons will open up. It’s fun to watch.

Women don’t belong in football or anywhere near it. They’re clueless. Hard to make a sandwich talking football.
This dude is a truly a generational player. I know this gets thrown around too much lately but bowers will be a perennial star
Bowers playing as FB and at the X multiple times is insane!
If he was on any other team, he'd get a ton more coverage.
They call everyone a generational talent. Someone tried to tell me Joe Burrow and Ceedee Lamb are generational.

Bowers is an undersized TE, who can play a few different positions but the Raiders don’t have the best O line. Nor do they have the best QB.
Byron Murphy II will be a huge problem in this league vs offenses 😤🔥🔥💯.
I love that smile when Byron Murphy is mentioned. Exactly how I felt.
Wonder which hot dog hider he met up with after the game

The raiders really drafted best available.

So glad we drafted him
