Hey, I just installed this exhaust. Took legit like 30 minutes (extremely easy). I did the first cold start next to my house... Took literally 13 seconds for my dad and step mom to run out and start yelling. My dad's words "It sounded like a 50 cal. browning started shooting outside our house." So that gives you an idea.
I rode 5 minutes down the road and back, 30 minutes later my right ear was still ringing. I ordered the Q7 db killer right away. This thing is NEXT level loud (even compared to the Akrapovic WITHOUT baffle). Buyer beware.
I bought this system in Mach, it is quite loud even with the baffle. Looks so darn good on my all black 09! Good vid.

How much quieter was the Q7 bd killer? I rode for like 5 minutes and my right ear was bleeding (without baffle).
@@bobfrankfurt9449 it makes it drone less in your skull. It's still way loud. Came from a fz07 and I rode without a baffle on my akrapovic. Seems louder even with the baffle in.

Alexander Thrift That’s actually the rear tire breaking traction on a small spot of dust on the road. I thought the same thing till i was watching the video zoomed in lol. He is still on the same clutch and it’s holding good.

I wonder if you can answer this question since there isn’t a lot of videos with the full m4 exhaust. Comparing the full with the slip on m4, do they sound identical or different since the header tubes have different angles. Seems like the slip ones have a deeper sound? This would be the deciding factor for my purchase. But the rm1 does look better imo. Thanks
Stephon S From my experience, full exhaust systems have a deeper tone than slip on systems. I haven’t heard the m4 slip on side by side with the rm1 full system though..I can say another buddy has the two brothers slip on (also fz09) and it’s not as deep as this full RM1 setup. After riding with my buddy more, the rm1 full system is too loud for street imo. Even with headphones in it hurts my ears when it is droning...sounds great though.

I know he does have a flash for a full exhaust system but I am not sure of the specific system he used. This bike has been running really strong with the vcyclenut flash. He is a pretty cool guy and will answer questions if you email him.
Really wanting to buy this exhaust for my bike. Just was waiting for someone to do a review for this exhaust. It sounds and looks amazing. Have you done a reflash yet? Or power comander? Also did you notice any power gains? Does it pop a lot on deceleration?
timothy stone It is a very nice exhaust and sounds really nice. It is loud for sure. He is getting a reflash soon and no PC yet. It feels real good. I think it is definitely asking for more fuel, especially on the top end. Throttle response is very strong after the install. You won’t be sorry if you invest in this system. I do think a reflash/pc tune is definitely ideal and something to do soon if you get it. Thanks for watching!
Forgot to comment on the decel pop. Yeah it does, the flash will eliminate this by disabling the AIS system.
timothy stone I had the exact same thoughts. I got the 2017 so would that still require an immediate reflash?
I've been told that you can't disable the AIS system on the 2017+ you would have to install the block off plates. I really want to buy this exhaust but I have to fix my house up first. Before I blow 700 on an exhaust than 200 on a reflash.
I would. If you don't I wouldn't ride it for a long period of time running that lean you can blow an exhaust value. And cause unnecessary wear and tear on your engine. Why I'm holding off untill I can afford both but trying to get my house fixed up first paint, floors ect. That comes before throwing money into my bike.
What did you do with the o2 sensor? Looks like you twisted it and rerouted it?
Such a good combo for this bike! Looks good bud!! As far as you can tell... what's the black paint on the header like? Is it durable? Or do you think it will chip? Other than that, that's a good looking and sounding M4

Shane Allen It’s a hi temp ceramic coating. I really seems exactly like jet hot ceramic coating if you’ve ever heard of that. So far it’s holding up really nice and it’s been washed and ridden a lot. Thanks for watching!

Picking one of these up and installing it, first time installing an exhaust on a bike myself, is it pretty simple to do?
I think it’s very easy but I have a lot of mechanical experience. I’d say if you’re slightly mechanically inclined you shouldn’t have any trouble. Make sure to tighten the header nuts to spec so there isn’t any leaks. You will need a decent socket set and extensions to get in some of the tight spots.
can you take the baffle out?
This sounds like the baffle is taken out, is that true?
It doesn't come with one. For my it's way too loud. It's kind of obnoxious. A db can be bought if you want. It's the m4 q7 stage 1.

I'm told this pipe is deafening loud.. sounds good for a few minutes but then you go deaf and it doesn't matter what it sounds like. Lol.
I know this is late but what did you have to do to make it spit flames? Was it tuned or no
Stock ECU, just have to blip the throttle and watch the 🔥
once you flash it and fueling is correct this stops

Anything you put on the bike needs a retune.
did you have to plug the o2 sensor back?
Brian Ryle Espuerta I recommend leaving the 02 sensor plugged in unless you have an ecu flash with a custom fuel map or a custom fuel map on a power commander.

rockanrollrudy No it did not. Did you install any other parts? Also make sure your 02 sensor is connected.
Its said not to use the 02 sensor with it tho and the provided the blocker with it so its currently not connected I removed it, I'll install it tho and see what the difference is
rockanrollrudy We installed it with the 02 sensor connected. I don’t remember getting an 02 bung plug with the exhaust we were shipped..The 02 sensor was disabled on the ecu flash a few months later though.
