Racism has always been odd to me. I'm mulatto, most of my best friends have been Asian, and I live around a bunch of Latino and native American people. I would say I've had a pretty diverse experience of the various races.
When I moved to another country for a few years of my life, I saw that everybody had been affected by that country's culture. A simple example is modesty. Where I came from (and still live) people have a higher level of base decorum in modesty. Where I moved? It was very different. And it wasn't along racial lines. It affected Asians (although less so, because most of them were immigrants), Arabs, Whites, Blacks... you name it. I couldn't tell you a single race that was a immunized against the tides of social influence and cultural trends.
I've even met racists before, although only online, and they were cordial to me even after finding out my race. It was always interesting that despite viewing me as, in some way, inferior they were still willing to have thoughtful conversations with me. It's odd isn't it? You probably wouldn't have a thoughtful conversation with a dog, or a monkey, or someone you thought was mentally handicapped.
This is ultimately to say that as I've gone through life, I haven't been able to make any level of accurate judgement about people using their race. It's inherently a silly concept to me, which is why I think racist memes and jokes are just that, funny. Of course, I've learned over time, not everyone sees it that way.
When it comes to this situation, I "understand" it, even if I view it as silly, misguided, and evil. There's almost overwhelming propaganda that white people are the cause of evils, but that the issues that plague (predominantly) black communities are simply a fact of life, or even worse, the downstream effect of white people's actions. I can see why people would come to the conclusion that this is in fact, a racial thing. What could the mainstream media be hiding? Why is there such a crime issue with certain black communities?
The truth is that it's hard to accept that such evils could come from our hands. That whether you're white, black, asian, etc. you could be the one inundated with a culture that causes such an increase in violent crime. So what is the easy solution? Just get rid of the black people. It doesn't require a plan to improve the lives of those who live in the same country as us, or navigating the complex culture wars of today. It's essentially ending a war with a nuke, giving up on finding a resolution to a problem.
Personally, I wish the mainstream would hold people to the same standard. I wish we could point out evils belonging to any race with the same ferocity. But I know that's not the world we live in. Until we do though, I think it will only get worse.

The reason why he did this is because, like you said, he was a coward, but also he had a unfortunate false understanding of the world. Like that evil bastard Roof, may he rot in hell, he correctly understood that many whites in the country are subject to violent antiwhite attacks. What he got wrong is that he focused on the race of the attackers of those white people (much of the time) and not their ideology that justified those attacks in their minds. In the same way that nobody's born guilty of things others did who look like them for being born white, also nobody's guilty for being born black.
He incorrectly believed that the subset of violent antiwhites who are black, were committing their crimes *because* they were black. No pity for him, may he rot in hell, but if you're trying to understand where his mind was at, this is it.

@@BASSFZz I am glad of that. I would like to pose a question to you and I hope this doesn’t across as defense for patently idiotic brain droppings of racists.
Do you think people in America are more off put by black American culture, or black people in general. I ask because I have black American family members, friends and acquaintances. Some good and some bad, however a noticeable proportion partake in, to varying degrees, a culture I can’t stand. Drugs, degrading music, violence, police encounters, in short drama.
Contrastingly, my (admittedly smaller sample size) of African and Caribbean friends and acquaintances don’t take part in these activities or at least to a significantly smaller degree. I have nearly no problems with them and as far as I can tell no one else seems to either. Do you think that people on average make those distinctions between cultures more than skin? Do you think people would leave those prejudices behind if they were to see that?

It’s the culture. Thomas Sowell has done the heavy lifting on this topic and wrote books about it but it’s southern redneck culture which is in fact old remnants of Scottish highland culture. The times blacks moved away from this in America, they became well integrated and liked in their communities. Then when large influxes of southern blacks to their community began, this alienated even these integrated blacks from their friends and neighbors. The UA-cam channel Sowell TV has videos which give short summaries of his books and it’s really worth your time.

I haven't listened to the entire video yet, but you're a good and intelligent guy; always have been in the time I've known you. The problem here is that not only is division being pushed along racial lines for political purposes, but there are genuine issues within some communities that make it easier for that divide to widen, especially with many useful idiots willing to play the role. Ultimately the issue is one of ideology, but we do have to take into account how that ideology impacts people on the basis of their identifying characteristics, because they're obviously important enough to individuals to take extreme measures for. The solution is not a simple one, but it can only occur if we are willing to be honest about the problems and figure out how to move forward as a "diverse" society so that innocent people stop suffering over this ideology.

Just down south in England, the gang/urban lifestyle gets promoted, and that's more racialized since in England, most of the gang/urban lifestyle tends to be people who are black/asian in certain areas. The same problems happen in the USA as well, but the racism element is even higher still, because that's more of a mixed ethnicity.

Recorded numbers of drunk driving also dropped 20% in the same period.

A close correlation between levels of violence was also found with the number of single-parent households, overcrowded housing and high rates of teenage pregnancy. @@angelmartin7310 your acting as if people arent calling this out even within the black community no one I know is an agreement with the violent behavior within that subset.
Plenty of people , groups have called that out that behavior. Again I'm not against what your saying most people agree with you that it needs to be addressed. So you don't need to draw the line in the sand these types of discussions are had a lot.
My issue is going after the individual and taking it out on the individual whose done nothing wrong. for the actions of someone else in a more violent subset in that group.
What do you want that individual to do to call it out, plenty of people have done it with some success and others not so much. Go on shows calling out the violence, go march, go talk at a community center? At most bass in this instance could talk about it more in his videos.
But what irks me is that I as my own person ,law abiding , haven't gotten into any trouble, is being told you should be doing X Y or Z and its my fault. As if it there fault for not speaking up about issues that I myself am not in control of . I cannot control whose violent or not, any more than you can. For example being this guy who shot up the general convenience store.
What I tell other black people don't get into trouble, make something of yourself lead by example not by marching or speeches. Get a great job and keep building yourself too me that's how you make the difference.
I'm a beginner in software engineering, I have a young cousin whose an electrician starting a business, I have friends in the FBI, and other who have amounted to something. Older black in government told me what to get into early on.
That's about as much difference that I've seen or encountered and I've done the same but I can't change everyone, sometimes the only difference you can make is a very small one.
