It actually hit Terrebonne parish first as a category 2.
I'm a Hurricane, Katrina survivor Uptown, New Orleans.
I know what this is about.
Prayers for all families 🙏🏾
I was just there for labor day weekend, much love to Louisiana ❤️
😢 I visited New Orleans this last May and it was my first time visiting the United States. It was special to me. 💔My heart breaks for all the people and their families living through this situation. Specially the homeless people living in the city. I tried to help a couple of them with a little bit of money and food but it wasn't enough. I hope everyone is doing ok. 😢
Praying from Texas
I’m in Pensacola it’s raining like crazy over here
Prayers
Prayers are everyone affected 🙏
Thanks everyone for the well wishes. We natives knew going into this that Francine didn't pack a very hard punch. Still when we see Jim Cantore, when the lights go out and the wind starts. We all get a little nervous as we remember Katrina. Nevertheless we woke up this morning WITH power and the cleanup begins!
God bless you
Why are ppl always driving during these storm? They should stop rescuing itiots!
Ironic
Prayers for new Orleans, LA
lousinana is weirdest but yet the most charmistic state in usa. interesting to watch and compare her with other boring states.
I'm so glad that with each year that goes by, hurricanes and storms sre getting more media coverage than many years ago.
What? They've always gotten media coverage the same amount lol.
@@Trahzy you misunderstood my comment. If a hurricane happened in 1999, it wouldn't get as much footage and media coverage as technology wasn't that advanced back them, a lot of people couldn't afford high res cameras, only devastating storms would get the most recognition unlike some other storms that devastated people but never got enough media coverage to be known or aware of. Like Hurricane Mitxh, which killed thousands and barely anyone knows of.
God bless u Louisiana
Prayers from California🙏❤.
I don't understand gow New Orleans hasn't gotten their stuff together after having storms nearly every yr! Same thing with Texas not improving their chances or power loss during a freeze. You'd think Louisiana would have improved their sewage/drainage system by now but nope. It's the same old story and this wasn't even a bad storm.
There is only so much that can be done since New Orleans is sitting in a bowl.
It’s kind of hard to build any infrastructure to help when New Orleans is actively sinking
you can protect the levees from storm surge but when its raining like crazy during a hurricane nothing can be done about that
@@karmine3640 wow
But we’ve still got power. Yay!
You have to be on the coastline to experience the true strength of a hurricane
I am a hunkerer 😊
At least 90% of New Orleans and Jefferson parish back up and running..
Wish everyone good luck❤!
This place has the best hotdogs 🌭
Hope everyone is ok
Should I stay in the house? God told him to be ready.
I hope they're ok!!!!!!!❤❤❤
Find your safety place and bring food and drink with you
There will be a hurricane so menacing this year that it will reach and flood a non-coastal state.
Nostradamus tell you that?
It was wild where I live I guess cause we closer to where it came in 😢😢hope everyone is safe
I really wish ppl move from down there so sad 😢
God bless everyone be safe ✝️🕊️🇺🇸
That's not New Orleans it's TERREBONNE PARISH AND OTHER PARISHES ITS NOT ALWAYS ABOUT NEW ORLEANS
Effects from Hunga Tunga? Don't ask!
They will not insure them anymore. They should NOT be living there in the first place. You don't build on land that's BELOW SEA LEVEL!!! They are just lucky it wasn't another Catrina..😢
Hey um. I'm in new orleans. We're good. None of these videos are of new orleans at all
That's what they do, this storm was a direct hit for morgan city as a cat 2, new orleans got TS stuff, but they always make it about New Orleans
Prayer’s going up
Hey @today you might want to fact check your videos in this clip. Most if those houses are no in new orleans but more like grand isle and the lower part of the boot. We DID have some flooding. But most of those videos are not from ORLEANS PARISH. Except the one with the truck that drove In to a flooded street and had to be rescued... yeah that was us 😅
I came here to say the same thing
Why do journalist put their lves in danger dont you all got families

"I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things" is a verse from the Bible, Isaiah 45:7. Some say that this verse is a reminder that God blesses those who honor him and brings calamity upon those who disobey. Others say that a literalist reading of this verse would project the darkness of moral evil onto God's nature.
