In today's video, I will be talking about the KING OF GEMSTONES, RUBY STONE. Also known as MAANIK in India, Natural Ruby Stone is The King of Gemstones.
RUBY is the stone of the Sun, and people who like sitting under the sun and who enjoy sunlight, the stone could be for them.
Ruby originates from four major areas -
1. BURMESE RUBY - Ruby found in the areas of Burma and is commonly known as the best quality stone and the most precious one too. The ruby stone found in the areas of Burma is the most expensive ruby in the world.
2. MOZAMBIQUE RUBY - This is the second-best ruby found in the world is from the African continent and mainly found in the areas of Mozambique. After Burmese Ruby Stone, this stone is the most expensive and best quality ruby stone in the world.
3. AFGHANI RUBY - The third best category for the ruby stone is found in the areas of AFGHANISTAN and comes next in line of the Burmese and Mozambique ruby stone.
4. TANZANIA RUBY - The fourth best ruby stone found in the world is from the land of Tanzania.
Recently I have heard this new term in the market as New Burmy Ruby and would like to clarify here that there is no such ruby stone as new Burmy Ruby. So please do not fall prey to these false updates and always consult the family jewellery you trust or you can always message me and ask if you have any such confusion.
Ruby stone is most commonly suited for the people born with LEO as their Sunsign. But I always recommend that please consult your Vedic practitioner before you invest in any such stone, as all these stones have certain side effects also if not worn properly.
Talking about the price of the ruby stone, it starts at a price of Rs 3000/- Ratti and goes until Rs 4,00,000/- Ratti. As the stone gets more premium, it gets more clearer, less opaque and with fewer inclusions. As it gets more premium, the stone will attract more energy and will be more beneficial for your body and thus the price will also be more for those ruby stones.
To check the authenticity of the ruby stone, you can always get them checked from any certified Indian Lab like GJEPC and in case you have acquired one like Burmese Stone, then I would recommend you to go for any International Lab test like from those of IGI, GIA, Dublin or Swiss Lab.

Secondly, want to ask that I have visited in our town's Sarafa bazaar their one of the vendor has said that highest quality Ruby he is having is of 2500/- for 5.25 Ratti stone.
How would I take guarantee for its originality if any of the lab certificate is not provided by him.

Burmese Ruby seems extremely costly, however can you suggest a cheaper alternative, I mean something which is pinkish and if not equally effective but somehow effective, and how much that should cost, not very cheap, not very costly. I have been advised to wear a 10 ratti Ruby gem.

The RUB test:
Use the ruby in question to scratch a hard, smooth surface, such as a piece of glass. If a streak of red color is left behind on the hard surface, then it is clear that you have a fake ruby on your hands. A real ruby gem will never leave color in that way.

The exposure to a lot of heat and certain chemicals may fade the colour of Ruby.
Heat treatment is done on gemstones to lighten or darken the colour of the gemstone.
For proper astrological purposes don't consider heated or treated gemstones. You won't get the actual healing benefits if the gemstone is undergone some treatment.
