Couple of months ago we had this trainer come to my riding school for a clinic and we learned about working equitation but on our old worn down school ponies but it was still fun even if we didn’t have these Lusitano horses 😂❤❤❤
I’ve been riding working equitation for the past year and a half and I was so excited to see a video on it, I love that you are bringing attention to other disciplines!!!!
I like the fact that you're always so considerate of the horse(s) in your charge. It demonstrates that you have a caring streak and that you really do love horses.
Hi Esme I absolutely love your videos and i have a pretty funny story to tell you. A few hours ago, I got a giant piece of glass stuck in my hand. I tried to pull it out by myself but it wouldn't budge. I was on FaceTime with my dad who was guiding me because he is a firefighter and he was spending the night at the fire station. He said if i couldn't get the glass out, I should come to the fire station and he can try to get it out. I was super scared and it hurt so bad. I tried to pull it out a few more times and nothing happened. So we went to the fire station to let my dad pull it out. I was very nervous and sat for about 45 minutes and getting worked up. He finally said that we had to get it out. He said to look the other way so I didn't see it. Then I asked if I could watch your newest video while I looked the other way. I knew the horses would keep me distracted 😂. I watched your video and felt a shot of pain and that was it. Thanks to your video, I got my chunk of glass out of me!!!!!
I went to pony camp this summer and on one of the days, we did working equitation and we had to get a toy from a toy chest and drop it into a box but I kept missing because the horse I was riding was more on the older side and was abit stubborn 😅
The barn I learned to ride at that did eventing with a special focus on Dressage and had primarily Lipizzaners began hosting Working Equitation clinics about a decade ago. The horses took a natural shine to it and both horse and riders always had a blast. It's fantastic training even if WE isn't your main discipline and so fun!
Thank you for this video. I haven’t ridden in over two months as I’ve kinda lost my mojo struggling with anxiety and depression, but I’ve doing groundwork and trick training with my coblet,.Watching this has given me a flutter in my heart that I haven’t felt for a long time to want to ride. I love working equitation and Murphy and I have tried elements, through some online challenges. Be nice to try and put together a course of our own sometime. Thank you esme. 💖🐴
I'm currently in the process of getting my first horse in 10 years or so - I did have a rescue horse for a week that was awfully poorly so I made the tough decision to put her down. So I need to refresh my bank account and I'm going to have some lessons and go on a few trail rides to get my riding legs back. I do really want to try this tho and get back into horses. It looks similar to Western trail or something we have in Australia called "The Stockmens Challenge" where you do things that your stock horse would need to do on a sheep or cattle station. I've been looking into an agriculture collage near where I live that has a course on horse care and a few shorter courses so I might apply for next year. I'm in a bit of a why on earth not mentally at the moment and I've been trying loads of different things, both with horses and music.
Thank you so much esme you I have been watching you sense I was 6. and know I am a teenager I have learned so much from you. And I just got a new horse the same age as Joey that I will be entering in aqha shows. Love you esme

I'm going to apply to do a horse course at an agriculture collage not far from me in the Hunter Valley and try to apply for a job on a farm somewhere here in Australia.

Hi Esme! I’m wondering what it’s like cleaning a grey horse every. Single. Day. I’m thinking of getting this one grey and I just need to what it’s like with the cleaning involved. And also how high were you and Joey jumping before his injury and how high are you guys jumping now? Ur one of my biggest idols! I hope to meet you one day, but I’m in America so probably not. 😢 And have you found your heart horse yet? If so who? Will you ever get another horse? Edit: do u also have any tips for your jump postion and not pulling back while jumping? This is a problem I’m struggling with and I’m trying to fix it so I can compete at 60cm and not crossrails. You look AMAZING on Historico!
The horses there are so adorable you seem like such a nice person who takes care of horses like children your horses have the best care than any other horse please can you pin this me and my stepsister love all of your videos and never miss out on watching them ❤
Okay... this looks *GREAT* 😍

I feel like another name for this would be “Western Dressage”
She was riding English…
@@laurie_eqq I know, but this combines the western principles and the precision of English dressage.
The sport was born in southern europe. Was should it be called "western"?
