The aeonium is one of the most underestimated succulents, there are so many different kinds and as you have shown very versatile in the ways they can be used. Each one of your Bonsai arrangements you have made Em are beautiful.
Thank you Penny, your right they are underestimated succulents . But even they are common we can make them beautiful and your so right they are versatile and easy care . I’m glad you like this 😁😊
Hi Macy Lyn thank you for watching my video , pls click the notification bell so you can be notified on my next video. I’m glad you enjoyed my arrangement coz you want more hehehe 😁
@@Emshomesucculentgarden It's telephaty. I wanted to ask you. Yesterday i found some aeonium on a internetshop. But i was doubting, is it now a good time to buy some? Here in Belgium it is winter untill 20th of March. They sell : Aeonium arboreum var. atropurpureum ''Schwarzkopf'' Bonsai, Aeonium Arboreum Velour Bonsai, Aeonium canariense var. virgineum, Aeonium castello-paivae "suncup, Aeonium Kiwi succulent, Aeonium leucoblepharum, Aeonium Starburst small. I only know the 'Schwarzkopf/zwartkop', 'Starbust', 'Kiwi', because i've seen them with you. Maybe you have them all but i don't remember the names then 😄 because you have so many. Also if i buy them, for the moment i can only keep them indoors on a south facing window because i am with my father. He's getting old and i keep an eye on him because sometimes he forget things. He is my hero, my everything. So i stay a lot with him and in the weekends i sometimes go home to care for my other plants. So is the appartment window then a good envirement for the aenomius and this period a good period to buy them or should i wait. What would you do? With love Carine🥰
Hi Carine, your father is so lucky to have you as a daughter. Your very caring and loving. I lost my Dad on a young age. Till now I still miss him. Cherished every moment with him. Any way regarding your question Aeonium is a winter grower so it is the best time to purchase Aeonium. I haven’t grown them inside but you can try one or two.one of my friend Beverly she have at least 2 Aeonium inside the house receiving some lights and it’s growing fine but you still have to take them out to get a good amount of sunlight.
@@EmshomesucculentgardenYour dad would be so proud of you having such a nice loving and creative daughter, who takes the time to talk to people she doesn't know and help them .. I know what it is to lose a parent you love very very much. I lost my mom 11years ago. In six months time. Like my dad she was my everything, my soulmate... At a certain moment she was at intensive care after a long and difficult operation at liver and pancreas, to remove tumor. The proffessor said to me she wasn't doing well. I sad beside her and said to her holding her hand, mum i know you love us very much, and she nodded (she was intubated that was really hard because that was one of the things she loved most, talk talk talk and now she couldn't))then i said to her, but i also know that you know, we love you very very much. She squeezed her eyes and nodded again. That evening it went wrong, in the morning we al had to go to intensive care. My daughter who was eleven at that time wanted to come with us. My mum was in coma. While we had a meeting with the proffessors my daughter held my mother's hand. The proffessors said it was best for my mum we stopped the machines who kept her alive, it would take a while before she will pass they said. It was the most difficult decision in our lives. My ex friend came to pick up our daughter, After a little 10 minutes when machines were off, my mum passed away me and my twin brother holding her hands, my oldest brother and my father standing beside her. The proffessors were really surprised it went that fast. She was so weak, it was time for her. I was so glad i sad those things about love, it seemed like a sort of goodbye and she waited for that. My mum, she is with me in my heart and head every day 💝 Today it was a long time ago I went out, to a shop and they sold succulents there (normally not). I bought six, but i don't know wich ones. There were no identifications 🤣. I will by a third grow light i think that's best for the aenomium so they won't die on me when they aren't getting enough light. It will be the first succulent's I have, I know the identification from 😆🤣. It's a plan i will carry out in the few next days. Thanks for your advice and take care 🥰💞
Hello Ems😊your garden is very big and nice setup for succulents 👌weather is nice👍 huge collection of Aeoniums🌿💐all are beautiful 😊nice tips for Bonsai🌳
Thanks my friend I really like to share this coz I always loving my small Bonsai look Aeonium and thinking that my viewers might’ve like to make one too.
Don't know what happened but there was no sound from 4:10, so I missed what Ems was saying. The sound came back at 9:29 towards the end of the video. Did anyone else lose sound?
Hi Mel sorry about that. It was fine before but UA-cam message me that the music I used has a copy right claim. So the only way I can do is mute the background music but then my voice got muted as well I tried my best to recover my voice but it won’t let me. The background music I used says no copyright but then later on they claim for a copyright 😞
Hi Jessica thank you, as of now I can’t get any cuttings to send to you coz it’s almost raining every day here in Mount Gambier. As you know all my aeonium are in outdoor and if we cut the aeonium and it will rain it will introduce stem rot. I have to wait at-least a week with no rain so there’s enough time for aeonium to heal and dry before rain comes.
The mother plant of Aeonium arborium is about 4 or 5 yrs or more I just don’t remember I keep pruning them and propagating but with the aeonium velour is just about 2 yrs the one with big rosettes.
Hi Mona, sorry about that. This video got some copyright issue. that is why the sound disappear. I tried to edit it but I can’t recover the audio back. Sorry again 😞
Hi EmsVi ,love your beautiful arrangements. I have some Aeonuim plants and how come their stems are so brittle. They fall off easily once they grow tall. Any advice? Thank you, hope you response.
Hi Maria thanks for watching my videos. Yes they snap easily when they grow tall because the top get heavy and when they get old the trunk get brittle. What I do with mine is I constantly prune them and shape it . They respond to pruning well. And propagate it during their growing season. Try to pot it in a small container to restrict the growth and observe it.
Wow!! I like all of it!! 😍That's a great idea..It really looks like bonsai. I like all the little displays, they're so cute.🥰Thanks for sharing my friend..Weather is really weird now a days, right? Stay Safe!
Hi Carrie, I’m sorry about that it was fine before but I didn’t realise that the music I used hit me with copyright claims. I just muted the background music using UA-cam editing but it muted even my voice and even how hard I tried to recover my voice on the video it’s not working. 😒
O wow, the arrangements are all so beautiful and lovely, Ems! I will try do some 😄 Do you know the name of the Jade you use for some pots, like in the third pot, with red edge?
Thank you Shandke, sorry for that it worked before but unfortunately the background music I used has a copyright claim and I muted the back round music only it muted everything. I have hard time to recover it so I just gave up😁
