I agree, the u1000 , was the top dash cam , now it’s the Q1000, the U1000 should be given the ability to use the THINKWARE connect, it still a great dash cam.
Ive tried COUNTLESS TIMES with my Samsung galaxy S20+ AND everytime I scan the barcode or enter manually, keeps saying on the screen to CHECK THE CERTIFICATION NUMBER AND TRY AGAIN?????? I am successfully connected to the internet (flashing orange wifi light). I've tried scanning the box, barcode on front camera, registering via MAC, and manually typing it.. NOTHING WILL WORK
How much of an impact does it take to trigger a recording when in parking mode, would a cellphone's vibration be enough? I have a very elaborate alarm in my truck with several sensors, and I would like to use them to pulse on a vibration motor for .5 seconds. The small nickel sized vibration motor would be added to the case of a Q1000 (velcro/hotglue/3m tape/etc) so that hopefully everytime my alarm is set off, the Q1000 would record it as if it were a hit in parking mode. (There are instances where my alarm can be triggered that would otherwise not trigger a parking mode impact such as someone opening the door, reaching inside an open window, opening my tailgate, breaking into my toolbox, or just getting too close to the truck) Hope someone can inform me their opinion on how sensitive parking mode impacts are! Thanks!!
@@thinkwaredashcam No problem, I will do that. Can you confirm if we can purcahse the HOME plan for the Connected cloud yet? I see no way to do it within the Connected APP, what happens if you use all your minutes and you still under SMART plan that's metered.
What does Thinkware recommend for a mobile hotspot? Blackvue actually has their on solution you add a sim card too. Is there some 3rd party device that has proven to work well with Thinkware? I need something that stays on all the time during parking mode so the car's build in hot spot will not work.
Hello there, For an External Hotspot we recommend contacting your phone provider as they may provide the best deals! However, we have had many users use MiFi devices!

Hello Jonathan! That is correct, unfortunately the U1000 is not compatible with the Thinkware Connected app.
So bad top of the line u1000 dash camera is not having this compatibility, it’s shame. Please provide a firmware for this please.

Remote live view with Thinkware Connected APP has a 8~10 second delay. BlackVue is less than a second. Is this going to improve with Thinkware ?

New U3000 takes a simcard directly
