Outstanding. Really cool how great Gretsch can make great sounds out of these little maple kits.

I love my Brooklyn kit!! It's rock sizes, 22 10 12 16 and I have it paired with 2 USA solid Aluminum snares, 14x5 and 14x6

Hi @Steve Maxwell Drums. GRETSCH Brooklyn or Ludwig Classic Maple, which one do you prefer?

This setup is gorgeous. What stands were used?

Canopus for the cymbals (lightweight flat base hi-hat & Jeff Hamilton stand), DW 7000 for the tom/snare stands

All of your drums sound great. What do you think about players still cutting holes in the reso heads ?

To me, cutting a hole in a reso head destroys the sonic chamber. Only reason to do this would be if in a rock-style gig scenario where there needs to be a mic inside the bass drum. At this point, the sound of the true bass drum itself is irrelevant because what is heard in the audience is a front-of-house engineer’s “eq-d” concept of a bass drum.
