I have an Assimil8or but not (yet) the Squid. Are both of these managers at about same place now feature-wise? Just curious… in case new features from Squid due to be ported back to A8 manager.
I believe the two apps are pretty much equal in feature set. There are some under the hood/technical things that I will be updating the A8Manager with when I start working on the 2.5 release, but nothing a user would see. I am planning on some more audio related tools for the 2.5 release, and once those are released with A8Manager I'll port them over to SquidManager.
Hi there! I'm using it on a mac, but the drag and drop feature doesn't seem to be working. Also, it doesn't let me select more than one sample while browsing files. Do you have any idea on what's going on? Thanks!
Hey there. :) Regarding the second item first, the sample browsing dialog only handles one file at a time, making it more limited than drag and drop. And regarding drag and drop not working, first make sure to go grab the new v1.1 release (it just came out 2 days ago, cpr2323.github.io/squidmanager/index.html), as I updated the user feedback for drag and drop. It now lets you know why it can't accept files (such as wrong type or wrong sample rate/bit depth/etc). If that doesn't clarify what is going wrong with the drop operation, let me know and we can further diagnose the problem.
Check out this other video showing SquidManager being used to prepare a bank, and then using that bank: ua-cam.com/video/hWQRp_aTM5U/v-deo.html
Fantastic. Very much looking forward to using it. Thank you for your hard work.
Thank you for this incredible gift to the Squid community!!
So cool! Congrats on creating a tool for Squid users to exponentially enhance their creation experience!
Congrats ! What an excellent tool this is. Game changer.
Let me know what you think of the Jamie Lidell multi-file drop cue set feature! ;)
@@cpr2323killer feature. Thanks for adding that! Would actually be super useful for other samplers. Just the tool to render a file with markers.
Great work !!!
