I believe there is more to cover in Ijebu-Ode. Ìjẹ̀bú is more of a corruption of ìjẹ ibú... Meaning the channelling of water. Myth has it that the entire Ìjẹ̀bú ode was water until a particular diviner spread mat on the water and began to move the water. You should look into the defunct Leguru LGA and the Leguru river itself. There's somewhere also called Odò Kala where you can hear some mysterious jingling according to myth till this present time. Some historians even argued that Ijebus are linked to Owadaiyye of South Sudan. The ijebu tribal mark and the ancestral mark of South Sudanese is a stance held by them. Another place of visitation is Molipa village in Ijebu-Ode. Founded by Egbeji, a man said to have ascended into heaven. The grave of Bilikisu Sugbo/Queen of Sheba can also be located at Oke-Eri, not very far from Orú, while the source of Yemoji river is also an Ìjẹ̀bú monument you should never miss. A deep research will show you that Awujale somehow reckoned with the fact that Ijebus are somewhat related to the people of South Sudan (Owadaiyye), as he once had a shoe factory in Ijebu-Ode called Wadai... A corruption from the name Owadaiyye.
